Welcome to the forum. How long have you had your sites for? Are they any good, or are you the only person that thinks its good? Someones I see noobs site when they ask for a review, and they are always pretty much garbage design, and content.
I've come to the happy conclusion that with every google update more and more, quality is required. Quality content/images/videos/merch/links/audio/design. Give yourself an honest number with the top 5 people who already dominate your niches, and then revise your thinking if required.

Lots of good advise, but dont buy backlinks. Its no 2012 anymore! Value of backlinks is promoted by backlink sellers and confirmed by people who dont know difference between correlation and causal relationship.

You can be 1 but it depends on your niche's competition . but the short answer is :
- You need to have better and more articles than others.
- Natural link building from related quality sites.
- Local SEO (GMB).
- Website's speed and optimizations.
