How to make $x,xxx / day online

Hey BHW,

First let me get started by saying I've been a part of this fourm since 2006.

I use to read countless "methods" each day and would never find success...

Why?

Because their are two types of people....

A) ones that read all day and never take action...

B) the ones that read a method, think of a few ways to improve it and then DO IT.

Now before I continue this post is going to piss you off if you're an "A".

How to tell if you're an "A"? You clicked on this because it was a "How to generate $x,xxx"....

But

Trust me I'm saving you a boat load of time, money & resources...

STOP

Chasing methods on how to make $10-20/day.

Instead weight your strengths and your weaknesses.

Stop trying to be something that you're not and focus on what you are.

If you love to write? Then wtf is the problem? Build a site, write a ebook, hell you can even freelance that shit.

You a programmer and love code? Great! They're in huge demand go build some shit! Or help someone else build theres.

The point is FOCUS on what you're good at.

Sure

Several of these methods are actually making people good money.

But

It is called supply and demand, as more people implement these "strategies" they become less lucrative for everyone.

When I first started reading about internet marketing I had a few successes very early on.

However

I kept chaseing "make money stratgies" instead of exucuting on business plans.

Because of this it wasn't for another 5 years that I started making money online again.

The internet is becoming more and more mature each day and because of that it's going to get harder and harder to make money on it.

You have to work harder, smarter & quicker than your compeitors (The rest of the world).

If you treat this as a hobby then you're going to fail.

Be prepared to fail A LOT but dont' get discouraged, each failure you will learn something and get that much closer to success.

Take Aways
Focus on what YOU are good at.
Make a plan to excute and start trying things.
STOP reading fourm posts all day, you gotta limit that shit. -- No one ever made money scroll fourms all day. Unless you own BHW
If you fail learn from it and use it to your advantage the next time around.

I would be embarrassed to admit how much time I spent as a "reader," and to be honest, it's still a struggle at times not to slip back into that mode.

The advice you provided is probably just as valuable (perhaps more) than any method or "how-to" post on all of BHW. Getting that down first is the key to success with any method.

I see this forum and others like it becoming hugely populated in the future when people realize that this is the new thing. Other than that I kind of needed this. It is embarrassing in a way, when you think about how long people can be stuck in certain phases.

A few more things to add...

Making money online is more about cofidence than anything.

The reason I read so much in the begining is a always assumed I didn't know enough to get started.

Let me tell you... There are people WAY STUPIDER than you making a fucking killing because they take action.

Finally

You don't have to work just for yourself. You can take these skills and get a good job at a company. Most companies don't know what the hell to do with internet marketing.

Trust me when I say this, you will have a leg up if you're a self taught learner. This is a knowledge ecomeny and it's no longer good enough to go get a degree and have a 40 year career.

ALWAYS be improving yourself, but most of your learning should come from doing, rather than reading.

Hope this helps some of you, because it's sad to see how many people are failing when they really shouldn't be...

I read, and read, and read, and read (you get the point) because I never felt "ready" and I needed to learn just a "little more" before I could start taking action.

In truth, I probably had more experience than most people starting out (I have a background in IT) but without that confidence I just kept putting things off. It's definitely a dangerous trap that can be very difficult to escape from.

Yeah having a tech advantage is huge.

Lukly for me I always wanted to make video games since I was 13 so I understand a bit of code.

This is exactly what I needed today. I'm still very new to this, and learning, but it's an excellent idea to just do it, rather than read about it. Such a simple concept that so easily gets overlooked, now I understand why. Thanks for reshaping my perspective on learning, Optic.

As more people realize "there is money in the internet" it will be more and more common to seek a job within it.

Our advantage right now is no "real" colleges are teaching how to take advantage of the internet. To behonest they probly never will, it's to much of an outdated system to keep up with the every growing and ever changing world of the web.

^^^ That however is our advantage! I get roughly 5-6 job offers a DAY because of the skills I've gained from these fourms and various other blogs. But it was me taking action on these skills that got me noticed.

I agree to this, but for me it is kinda different. In period of 3 months I have been only reading (50 blogs, 10 forums, 10000 of guides) and I got knowledge usual people get for 5 years doing IM. When I finally took action, it was easy and smooth, because I knew how others succeed, how others failed and what people need.

Yeah they want to go from zero to $1,000/day with out even taking the first step.

you are member since 2006 ? But your profile show join date 2008.

It's true, if people spent the 1-2 hours a day they do reading how to make money, actually trying to.make money, they'd at the very least gain some knowledge, and eventually it would be enough to make some headway. Once you know how to make money you should be prioritizing your time,and BHW shouldn't be on the top of that list.

Even though i do alright already, i make the mistake of dicking around here instead of launching or working on new projects that i know would work. Subliminal fear of advancing in life is real, understand it. You have to fight through that feeling when you know you're about to take a step forward with something, but tell yourself "or nah" and start hitting up the make money section. Follow through with your first thought, and do whatever it takes to make it work.

If you want to succeed in internet marketing, don't just copy and execute other's method. Be creative, know your strength and weaknesses and use it to your advantage!

Good advice. One tip is to focus really hard on one thing instead of skimming through several methods. Each method probably works if you really find the right path to win.
