How to make video go viral?

I have a question for the experts on our forum. How is it possible for an individual to assist in a video going viral on YouTube? It looks like there may be services to purchase for viewing. Which service is the best for viral video marketing? Which one should be avoided?

Any helpful tips for manual techniques to assist in a video going viral? I hired a local videographer to produce 10, 3-5 minute videos that are instructional and quite funny for my brick and mortar business + a book I am having published this year. The intent on the videos is for local marketing, and book promotion, but someone mentioned the Videos could go viral, I know that could probably help my SEO for my web sites, I was curious what services we could investigate or steps we can take to make videos go viral?

a video will only go viral if its a good video. ive seen many many vids that have not gone viral and were funny. that dont matter nor do the services you buy. personally i wouldnt bother too much as you will just be waiting and waiting. concentrate on running the biz and ads and so on, not just going viral

That's right, you should consintrate on running the biz and ads, but videos do work well as people are enjoying videos than reading and google likes videos. I had a video made for my site and now I have 5 more on the way. My first video had about 100 views on youtube within 3 months, then I found a service that provided me 2,000 guarantee views for $25. After recieving the 2,000 views, I then recieved 1,400 views naturally without any service. So my point is with the right service and ofcourse with an appealing video, it does work.

Videos can be one of the hardest things to make go viral. You've got to make the perfect video, but not something thats just a copy of what everyone else is doing.

The secret of getting a video to become viral is a mix of unique/good/funny content & promoting your video! I have my fair share of experience creating virals in the past few years, while it was easier to create a viral a few years ago, it still is possible with the right tools.

First of all, your video needs to created for online use. This in generals means it needs to be of good quality and be unique/funny/surprising and usually not to long. In my opinion 3-5 minutes is to long, but it can work if you can catch the users attention for that long. Also if you want to create a viral video, it's better to have 1 great video then 10 decent ones!

If you have a good video, then promotion is the second thing you need to do properly. You can buy views from those view services such as ytnuke & viewtornado. With both I have good experiences, but you need to use them correctly otherwise you'll just be throwing away your money. Basically, you need to send a decent amount of views to your video within 24hours after uploading your video on youtube. With decent I mean +500.000 or more. The reason for that is that you want to hit the YouTube charts with your video, preferably the top 3 most viewed today. This will get you're video a lot of exposure (views) and if people like your video, then it will go viral and get you a few million views.

Secondly you can promote your video by submitting it to blogs/forums/reddit. If your video is good (and doesn't have to much obvious advertising on it) then change is that a few big blogs will pick it up it pretty good. In my experience you just email the editors of the blog with a short message saying you found this great/funny/useful video and thought it would be great for their blog, worked always for me! If you're video has some kind of advertisement then the change the blogs will pick it up is pretty slim unless it's really something unique, but if you have the budget you can just buy a blogpost from them (that's what the big brands do!).

Last part, try to spread it using social media. If you know some guys with large (legit) twitter followers or facebook fans, then that will definitely do the trick!
