Dear Members,
You're here because you're intrigued by the title. Well, I'm not going to disappoint you by leaving you with a title, I'm going to explain a method used by a gentleman (who shall remain anonymous) to earn exactly US$78,125,000.
I know, I know, this sounds extremely SCAM-ish, but I promise you, I am not selling you anything nor am I asking for anything in return except for your ideas on how you would twist this method to better suit the IM world.
Let us begin.
This gentleman bought an email list of 1,000,000 contacts in the Finance field. So far so good. He then proceeded to split this group into 2 groups (A & B). Group A would have 500,000 email addresses as did group B. He then sent two emails. The first with a stock tip to Group A telling them that stock xxx would go up tomorrow and a second email to group B telling them that the same exact stock would go down tomorrow. Are you with me so far?
Tomorrow comes along and everyone finds out the outcome of stock xxx. Let's say it goes up! He immediately eliminates all the email addresses in group B. That means he's left with 500,000 email addresses from group A. He's also left with 500,000 individuals who have now seen him get the stock tip right once. Obviously once is not enough to go further with his plan, so he continues to do this until he reaches 15,625 individuals. These guys have seen him get his stock tips right several times now, see below:
These 15,625 individuals are impressed. So, he sends them all an email inviting them to join his finance workshop at US$5,000 a head. That's US$78,125,000. He retired shortly after.
My question to you. How would you twist this. I don't want to generalize, but I don't think many of us could replicate this, in the sense that we'd have nothing to say in the workshop. Any ideas?
I hope you all enjoyed this.
