no, this isn't a negative SEO question.

I want to buy a high pr, aged domain for the purpose of building private network. I am considering an expired domain right now. The domain is the name of a celebrity, and it gets searched a lot. Right now it's ranking #2 in google. I am sure it's receiving a lot of traffic.

The problem is, if I buy this domain and put my money site on there, it is very obvious that it doesn't belong there. Now, if the expired domain wasn't ranking for anything, I wouldn't be worried - because no human will ever see the site.

But for this domain, a lot of humans are likely to see it - which means they will see that it's just being used for the purpose of backlinking = google report = network busted

how can I get this domain to disappear from the serps so it doesn't get any traffic? or should I just forget about it and buy another domain?

A quick way to get removed from the SERPs that also achieves your purpose is to run a cloaking script :)

Add nofollow, noindex and you are all good. or more better, send a tweet to matt cutts saying: "fu** you. and here is my site: url". This is a sure way to get your site deindexed.

Why would you want it to disappear from the serps even momentarily? honestly good already takes a chunk of PR juice when you buy an aged domain, if on top of that you make it disappear from the serps you will send google the signal the site is completely unstable and further devalue your pr site. Just change the keywords and hopefully you start ranking for something else

there are many ways to hide your site from search engine, Use robots.txt, noindix, nofollow etc., however you can also get a uncommon url and use robots.txt so nobody will search for that.

First off don't start 2 threads. 2nd, if you're so worried about it, 301 it as part of your PBN and shut up about it already.
