I read here that you don't want to make your PBN look like crap because it if gets a manual review, it will get deindexed. You want to make it look like a real site that happens to be linking to your money site, correct?

One problem I am having is I don't know how to do that.

Example:
Let's say I bought a domain for my PBN, it's trump-for-president.com
It's an excellent domain, it has backlinks from Forbes and Huffinton Post. everything checks out. so far so good.
But my money site is completely unrelated to politics. Let's say I sell facebook likes or pizza (or whatever)

obviously the site you put up at trump-for-president.com will be about Donald Trump and politics. It cant be about anything else because that's unnatural.
Now how would I link to my money site?

I hope I didn't make this too confusing.
Basically, my question is: How would you link to a money site that sells facebook likes or pizza from trump-for-president.com in a way that looks natural to a manual reviewer? why would trump-for-president.com be linking to facebook likes? Do you just put a note "hey guys, check out our sponsors" or "hey guys, check out our parent company" or how do you do it?

There is no confusion, it's trend to make pbn pro version. Now days no one build pbn low quality.

PBN: trump-for-president.com

Your money site: cheapfacebooklikes.com
Your keyword: buy facebook likes

Somewhere in your article/post:

"According to the latest polls, Trump seems to be receiving the most influence through social media. However, when we take a closer look at the stats, it's quite evident that Trump's Facebook page seems to contain many unnatural or fake likes. There is a high chance that quite a high percentage of these are fake. For anyone who doesn't know, you can actually buy facebook likes (insert hyperlink) for as little as $5 online - so it's no surprise that this is being used aggressively for political campaigns"..

Leith,

That's a great way to get hit with a defamation lawsuit. But I get your point.

Game over if you get a manual review in my opinion, fail to see how someone whos sole job is to spot us spamming pricks will believe that your 100 web 2.0 links and 100 pbn sites are natural. Unless pbn/web 2.0s are a small part of your backlink profile and they all have decent content, get some traffic, link to 1 or 2 money sites with multiple other legit sites and don't use exact match anchors at which point the ROI disappears and you may aswell be white hat

I understand what you are saying and you are mostly right. Even I dont go to far to make my PBN look natural because:

1. I would have to update all my PBN sites with content at least a few times a month and then my money site links would roll off the homepage.
2. I don't fear a manual penalty and unless you work with high comp keywords you shouldnt fear a manual penalty because the odds are sooo low. Everyone knows about SAPE yet its still alive and kicking.
3. Its just a pain in the ass.

This is how real sites do.. Awesome explanation Mate..

If your pbns are paying your rent and giving you some money in your pocket you can afford to keep them updated with nice content.

What is your taught in adding 1 more external link in that content along with the money site's link? I think it will be more natural

If I were you, what I would do is I would develop some intermediary websites that will essentially "launder" the link juice coming from your high-value PBN website.

Regardless of the niche of your high-value PBN sites as long as you link them to a slightly more related websites which then link to more directly-related websites, you can create a nice pathway to your main money site.

The last thing that you would want to do is to link directly from a completely unrelated site to your money website.

While Google does allow for a certain percentage of completely off-niche or unrelated backlinks, you have to make it look natural by using only branded links or naked links.

Don't use anchor tag links.

That is too obvious.

That's going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Yeah I only have a 40 or so pbn sites anyway but its literally 3x the price to make them look 'pretty', I'd personally rather the take risk on a manual review because a) I don't want to waste the money, b) I don't think it will make much difference anyway and c) I think manual reviews are fairly rare, especially in my main niche with no adwords/adsense

I like to give them natural names like "George's totally not a PBN cooking and DUI lawyer and payday loan blog" and then if I'm really paranoid I have a disclosure section where I put in size 50 font at the bottom of every page "This is a real website!" My hopes are that when Google reviews the sites they see that the title clearly states it is NOT a PBN and then they give the site extra Google Juice. I might email Google next week with a list of all my "not PBN" sites and ask them to make a note that these aren't PBNs. If that doesn't work I plan on seeing if I can swing by the offices and make an appoint with somebody to discuss the totally legit nature of my sites. I'll wear glasses to make me look smarter, too. And if all else goes wrong I have $20 saved to bribe them.

If site is about trump in an article you can just mentions something facebook related and with that sentence linkout to your site.

One possible answer is to not buy domains like trump-for-president.com if it doesn't suit your site. There are lots of domains with more generic sounding names that can be more easily re-purposed.

If you are so worried about making it look natural, do not buy general domains. Buy a niche related domain and insert well written unique niche content and contextual backlinks with a well designed site. Yes, niche domains cost a lot compared to general ones with similar stats but then you need to spend the extra money if you want to be extremely safe as you mention from any manual penalty.

This right here is your answer. Do not fall in love with domains that have a name you cannot repurpose to something that makes sense for your project.

In this case, there were some good ideas above for how you could possibly use this one, but most of the time look for niche related domain names or generic ones that you can make into a real site.
