I have invested a lot of money into a network of 20 sites. for each one, I have put up a one page site with a 500 word hand written article, containing a link to my money site. If a human checks them, there is no way they would believe these are real sites. not for one second. all that money I spent setting this up would be burned.

So my question is: how do you make your PBN look like real sites? It's not always easy. For example, let's say you bought a domain organ-donation.com (I just made that up)

obviously, the site that you put up has to be about organ donation. It can't be about guitars. Right?
how do you explain why organ-donation.com is linking to buy-guitars.com ?

Answer: Make them like real sites. They need a few pages of content. You don't have to be so specific unless you are building your PBN network around 1 of your money sites.

You can change the theme/content of an old domain. I like to turn my PBN's into, health sites, money, gadgets, etc. Just generalise them. Then if you want to build links to your site about 'headaches' then you can put an article on your 'health' PBN sites about headaches and link to your money site.

Here is a good guide to building your own PBN: http://doseoyourself.com/build-your-own-private-blog-network-the-right-way/

There is more to a PBN than just looking like real sites.

You need to have them on different hosts/IPs, with different names is possible not just anonymous, unique content, linking to other authority sites, etc.

jaselc send a nice link. I would suggest you add facebook pages and twitter to it and also some flickr gallery stuff and so on and make sure you have good themes on all sites

Exactly.

First make it invisible to the robots, then humans (chances are your niche isn't manually checked).

I prefer to go for a magazine style / news style theme, with lots of content everywhere, fake authorships, social profiles, then funnel most of the domain power (using plenty of internal links) to your money site obl page (which should be titled the same/similar as the keyword you are targeting).

Then for fresh content, pay someone to do editorial articles based on a niche leaders rss feed, so you auto post the rss to draft, and get an O desk writer to go along and add editorial comments onto each article, while removing any obls, and maybe adding a few fake comments to make it look engaging.

Then you want to push some more external links to your OBL page, as well as the most powerful pages that internally link to this page.

The answer is to not buy domains that are too niche specific.

Buy ones that are peoples names, or general interest, have no actual meaning, or can be moulded into news/opinion/magazine/etc sites as suggested above.

Then whatever subject you want to write about - think like a journalist - find an angle that can be squeezed into your niche and write it in that style to suit the imaginary audience of that website.

Good luck with your PBN. I suggest adding:

Contact and about pages. Twitter accounts (even if you don't use them much). Use different IP and hosts. Use great looking themes not the ugly default theme that no real site would use. Add more content even if it is a quick update or your opinion on a youtube video or something. Obviously 1 page will not look real. Also don't just link out to yourself as it will be a huge red flag with all of your links coming from 1 page sites that only link to you.

The art of building a PBN is to avoid a manual inspection altogether. Google only manually inspects sites that raise red flags with them - avoid the red flags and you won't get checked.

I'd say that it's really quite difficult to make any PBN site look natural to a real person but all of the things suggested by others can make them look natural to an algorithm and that is what you should mainly be trying to achieve if you ask me.

As an SEO provider it's my main job to make them look real for the algorithm.

It would be nice to make them look real for manual reviewers but that's almost impossible, especially if you want to use exact anchors for your strongest links.

If you do an attempt to make them look real I would just rip a real site from the web and host it as HTML, just make sure you edit out all information that could identify it as their site, that includes renaming images and/or using different images / logo's and such.

Most people said what needed to be said hear on this Thread so good luck with your PBN Sites.

I'm with Mr Waller, 100%.

The 'look' is irrelevant until it gets manually reviewed - so focus on mitigating the chances of a manual review.

If you have the time then create manually, as far as i know, this is the best solution

Don't waste your time, and like SteveWaller and Tony_D said just focus on avoiding the manual review.

Even if your site "looks real", if you get manually reviewed, you're f***** anyway so don't waste too much energy on this.

I humbly disagree. I always take it for granted that there will be a manual review and build sites that look totally legit...

If they look legit they would pass review, right? And if you build them that way, in the process you probably built them to avoid algo detection, too.....?

When I read this questions I slapped my face to see if this was real life.

Um, I actually find it hard to make the websites look unrealistic. Why don't you just build actual frikin websites that have valuable content?!? Why the hell would you invest so much time and money for something that looks like crap?

Just treat every domain you buy as a completely separate thing, as if you're starting from the very start. Build them on their own shared server, make them engaging with quality content, add some landing pages, about page and a contact page to a REAL frikin email that won't bounce back. Sure, it might take you a little bit longer, but if you are purely building blogs just for the links, then a little bit inside hopes you get burnt.

I love building small communities, finding new ways to inform people about topic and never EVER use crap spun content like 80% of these so called "writers" in BHW palm off. Don't sell links to shitty clients that will give you crap content to build from, and if you do then don't hand out reports to anyone, no matter how much they beg.

Make a website worth going to, start a new business, try to bring real traffic and encourage people to share. Stop buying shit "addmefast" social signals to your social media account to dilute your authority. STOP BEING SHIT AT INTERNET MARKETING!

It can be about pianos though :D

Just upload a good looking theme and create proper social media accounts and content.

As someone who's lost a 80 site PBN I'll just add that with "partymarty PBN MK11" every site will look like a real and genuine site, none of them will use WP, none of them will use seo hosting, every site will pass a casual manual inspection (about the best you can hope for), all will use private or fake rego, all will be hosted with different hosts, all will be static html sites set up as if they were real businesses.

I could go on but you get the idea

This is right. So many people obsess about their PBN's looking clean, but if you're already being investigated as part of a manual review you're fucked. You would actually have to make sure every blog is run like a normal blog, which is insanely time consuming and expensive. Just forget about it and do what you can to avoid manual reviews: block spy bots as aggressively as possible.

Pages with quality content, professional design , about page, contact page , privacy page, well designed site structure/navigation, internal linking, linking out to quality control, newsletter sign up, selling products/services ( plr products can help ) etc are what a real site have. If you have them , your site will look like a real site. :)
