Prove the value of your articles by writing on popular websites and generating comments, likes and feedback. Check out seomoz for example, many of the blog articles written there have many comments and likes.
If you get your content on a news site and you are able to generate 100 - 500 social likes that would indicate value right? I'm also in the content writing industry and this is my strategy.
