How to make money with Amazon affiliate?

I tried to make money with Amazon affiliate. Thus, I created a website and posted numerous Amazon products with my affiliate links.

I heavily worked on SEO and made lots of backlinks, but the result was not satisfactory:

1. The number of pages indexed and well-ranked by google was much lower than my other websites.

2. I have a very few sales through current visits.

When comparing with a website with free content and revenue from AdSense, my Amazon project was totally unsuccessful.

I wonder how people are making decent money by Amazon?

Your site was focused around a niche or you have just placed random product links?
 
You should first create your site with a lot of valuable information on it, do the SEO, wait several months until your site reaches the first page, or until you make a decent amount of visitors. And then only put your aff links.

If you start your site with aff links on it, I think google will see it. You should wait before settings those links up.
 
Good Thread. I'm not much help in this area, but there's a prevailing wisdom that is applicable to working something that you should definitely keep after on your site.

-Putting in the effort required when your building something of quality.
-Taking the time to learn & learn more of what needs to be done to do it well.
-Adjusting your focus as you learn from your efforts over the time you have put in building quality
-Making changes as your experience grows from (effort/time/focus) but no changing the quality
-Keeping patience that your experience/quality will pay off because you've put in (effort/time/focus)
-Dumping the idea of cutting corners because your patience is running low

Remembering that everyone who is "successful" in whatever they do has consistently followed this method and they will tell you that this is the recipe that worked.

I don't really know what you are doing but amazon can be very lucrative.

I'm going to quickly list a few powerful hints for you.

1. Pick a profitable niche/product

2. Find keywords that are less competitive but have 3,500+ U.S searches, buying keywords can be less. Always bear in mind most of the items sold on amazon are predominantly readily available to the U.S market.

3. Make a high converting site, people doing amazon and making off it knows the kind of theme or design am talking about.

4. Get a review content in addition to any content you want to have, have the content written by a professional. One grammatical error can bring about low conversion rate.

5. Get targeted traffic via SEO, Blogging, Video and social media.

6. Rinse and repeat.
