Hello,

I am sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place. I seriously don't know where it belongs.

Okay, I have this amazing domain relating to the food or recipe niche. It is nothing specific but a plain food related domain.

I want to know how I can monetize such a website if I plan on building it.

Should I target only long tail kw's, rank them and make money via adsense? I am not sure since this niche doesn't have very high cpc.

Can you people suggest what should I do with this?

Thanks a lot :)

1. Adsense (have ads on your website)
2. Build an email list and promote your own "cookbook ebook"
3. Promote a cookbook from amazon or from an affiliate website and make bank.

Hi, You can build it up and try selling ad space. If you have a solid site with traffic, that can work. OR, you can flip it on Flippa :)

As long as the traffic is legit then id go with Adsense

Adsense cpc would be low. Moreover since it is a recipe website most of the recipes will be copied or spun from other sources. So will google not penalize the website for this?

If you are all legit and your traffic is from a quality source then there is nothing wrong with adsense.
But remember to have a back up network ready just in case.

collect emails - email them special offers at Amazon = collect commissions the clean way.

adsense, CB maybe short term methods but may turn people off coming back later on... as CB products often suck.

That's not very well targeted:

Do your niche research, Find your micro niche, discover their demographics,
optimise for that market.

Feed their hunger.
