Hey BlackHatWorld-Community,

i know... this Thread title is not the first but when i went threw the "money making" senction i became a little bit sad.
Titles like "500$ a Day on Autopilot" doesnt seems legit for me. At least not for the start.

So i want to ask you how you woud start a legit online business?
I think i have all the skills needed, or atleast i know where to find what i cant do.

My Skills:
I know how to create Wordpress/Shopify sites.
I know all the Hostingstuff like Domain, Webhoster and how to connect.
I have 15 years of GFX experience.
I know beginner/intermediate Level of Javascript, Html & css

What i want:
I want to run my own real business. totally Whitehat.
Leave a legacy. Build something i can be proud of and not working like a battery for others.

I can put a lot of time in it and have like 5k€ to start.

I was thinking to run a dropshipping store. But im open for every good idea! Just want to create something scalable.

Maybe you can tell me what you woud do, how you started or just recomment some good tutorials.
All ideas are welcome. Not only dropshipping!

Greetings!
Hisoka

Don't do dropshipping. Everyone is doing that, a lot of competition and it's impossible to offer something that doesn't exist already, and it will take a lot of time and effort to build a brand.

You have long GFX experience. So, create an online course, and sell it. That's it.

Unlike dropshiping, you can work on your own sales site, I hope you succeed in your dreams

Thanks for the response!
I like to teach!
But i think its not that expected money income.
My english skills are not on a professional level to make a english course i think.

But i will research and think about it!
Thanks mate!

Focus on what you are good at;

I know how to create Wordpress/Shopify sites.
I know all the Hostingstuff like Domain, Webhoster and how to connect.

You said you know to build WordPress websites, so I'd build a WordPress blog if I were you and create content around something I love. I think blogging can be really profitable. That's what I am currently doing as I have the same mindset as you about building something that I can be proud of and for me that is an authoritative blog.

Set up an Upwork Profile, make a few small jobs for Clients, to gather good Reviews, I made my first projects for basically free - once you have 3-4 Reviews you can start applying with a good proposal to every order which suit to your skill set, works pretty great!

dont do dropshipping, ı do not recommend it either.

I tried that as a translator/transcriptionist - in 4 years I got 1 job, and that was 2 years ago. lol.

At OP: You should go and create a course, maybe in your native language, and sell it. If it makes money or not; Once you created it, you don't need to do anything anymore. Total passive.

Other than that maybe try to build websites for clients, try a blog.

Why cant you recomment it?
Wich bad experiences do you made? :)

That sounds not so bad.
How do you make profits from it?
Affiliate and paid posts?

Thats nearly what i do right now.
I set up homepages for different small companies beside my main job.
But its not scalable :-(

Thanks so far for all the comments!

Firms do not properly control their product stocks. As a seller, you experience complaints against the customer. It is always more advantageous to sell products that are in stock instead.

dont take the titles at face value, people likes to put lofty goals from the start to pump themselves and that's okay. read the first post of the journey, and then decide if its worth it for you to keep reading. i personally like quiz ones, i think its a neat and approachable little first project that doesnt rely on SEO for newbies with little budget. and it has been covered extensively with a few variants for all tastes.

dont you have some contacts from small/medium business owners? how about selling webpages to them? purely online business arent the only way to go. selling face to face will always work well if you have something good to sell and a way to put that first foot in. and it sounds like you do.

also, how cheap/expensive is your country? like, how many usd do you need to keep your current lifestyle? cant recommend quizzes to someone in new york lol

Currently, it's monetized with ads from ezoic and actually today I started finding good affiliate programs to start monetizing it. I think this will be the business I am most proud of in the end as I am investing a lot of effort and time into it.

Skill stack with sales.

Learn HOW to sell things....then your other talent doesn't matter.

I love writing. I do copywriting. I have a substantial background in sales. I sold copywriting. Now, I'm basically a growth consultant.

Learn how to sell.

How do you start learning how to sell if no one buys from you, because you're bad at it?

Perhaps print on demand in some specific niche? I can throw you a midjourney invite for art inspiration if you pm me, its huge. This is not what you asked, but maybe offer your skillset for non-profits to use and build contacts and see where that may lead you. At least it is something that can make a difference for people and leads you to feel good about yourself for doing it.
