how to make money from youtube video

Hi guys,
I have an idea for a creative video. it is a parody of a tv show, I basically take the tv show and add some sounds to it and replace some parts...I think people will like it, but can i make money from it? I am thinking of putting a note like "if you liked this, consider donating, here is may paypal address"
would this work? if not, how else can i make money from a youtube video?

You will make zero from that approach. Nobody is going to donate when they expect everything for free.

Try some product reviews then link them up to a CPA offer watermarked in the vid or something.

no works dude! i suggest u offer video creating service instead of request for people to give donation...go to DP or any forums and offer your service...fiverr will be also awesome place to sell service...
