How to make Authority photo website?

Hey fellow bhws.

I'm trying to build a website but i have some questions if you are kind enough to help me.


1) Is there any way i can tell if a photo i find on G is protected by copyright or not?

2)Any tips for the onpage Seo for such a website? (only photo galleries)

3) Can you please recommend me any free wp themes for this project?

4) Let's suppose i will just scrape photos and post them on my website, can i get in trouble if someone files a dmca? Or they will just ask me to remove the photos?

5) Any plug-ins you can recommend for such a website? I don't know any..

In general, no, not without spending alot of time on each image. However, as long as your responsive to DMCA requests I would not worry to much about this.

no. Google bro.

a dmca is a take down request. Any kind of legal/court issues arise after that.

A site with scraped photos from Google would not be deemed an Authority site.

Exactly and there are plenty of websites which already having too much competiton, try something else mate.

My suggestions is NextGen Gallery as the plugin.I used it ...and pretty much satisfied.but scraping images is not safe for authority website.Most of these images are protected under copyright and you do NOT have the legal right to use them.

Use Google image custom search with creative commons

I don't know if "authority site" was the right term to use.But i do want to make it big with this.

1) not really.. what's the source of your photos?
2) description, keywords .. as you usually do for a website. I assume the pics have a caption and tags
3) easy-image-gallery
4) They will send a dmca and you will remove them. If they send too many dmcas to hosting they will shut you down eventually. Perhaps look for hosting that ignores that.
