Hey guys I'm making some money with amazon affiliate program, I've got this idea but I don't want to get banned.

So I know some people tried to get people from craiglist and sent the affiliate link to them and then amazon banned these affiliates..

So what about if I make a review landing page or a prelander where I just tell to people that I'm selling the item on amazon? So I put the button buy it here and it redirects to amazon affiliate link.

Example: selling a great shirt on craiglist, people contact me, I send them the landing page link where they can read my review, what I sell and they click on the buy it on amazon and I get % as an affiliate.

Same thing, I can do this on Pinterest, upload photo, get traffic and redirect traffic to landing page..

what do you think of this ? Can amazon still ban me even if I'm not using direct linking ? Or can I cloack the link or just Hide the reffer link url?

Thanks for your support.

PS: Can I do this also for eBay as I'm an affiliate on eBay as well??

would cloak it. amazon banned alot of guys in the past becouse of not clear traffic sources. wouldn risk it.

you mean cloaking the link without using landing pages?

Or cloakin plus landing pages?

cloak and use landing pages

I still need to understand more cloacking, is there any good tut here ? You mean I need to cloack on the landing page? what about if I send users from craiglist to signup for email list?

I don't see why would this be a problem if you send them to your landing page first.

It's not like you're posting affiliate link directly on craiglist.

Do you want to collect e-mails and then send them the affiliate link to their email ?

exactly I think sending users to lanidng page is not bad and amazon could allow that or not?

What about watermarking your pics with your landing page domain ? All they have to do is type your domain in their browser!!

There is nothing wrong with this. I have done it in the past. It is just another traffic source for your website

yeah good idea! But my landing page would be a product review or just tell people that they can buy the product on amazon?

This was years ago, but here is the thread that I followed:

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/nothing-working-for-you-try-this-its-easy.520398/

I searched the UK version of Amazon for products that had amazing offers on them, with savings of 50% or above.

I put these products on a website with little labels over each image saying "60% off" or "Save £200", etc. These product pages then linked to amazon.

I didn't just use craiglist. I found about 10 UK classifieds sites, and offered the products across these sites re-directing to my website. Some of the smaller classifieds sites banned my offers. None of the big ones did (if I remember correctly). Most sites wouldn't allow a website link, so I set up a voicemail on a spare number I had that told people that all the items could be found on my website.

Whenever people came at me with questions about why the website linked to Amazon, I just told them I had no space to store my stock and so I used the Amazon FBA service (which was a lie), and linked to amazon's FBA page (no-one had a clue about this service, but it all seemed legit when I showed them the link)

I didn't make a lot, but I only used it for testing and didn't put much effort into it. I probably made about 5-6 sales. I remember treadmills selling best for me. At the time Amzon.co.uk limited all commissions to £7 per item, so the earnings weren't great, but it was quick and easy to set-up.
