how to make a static page for a niche site??

hello everyone,

this is my first ever niche site, so i dont understand much in this kind of stuff.

many people recommended a static page, so i wanted to ask how to do a static page??

should i make a page called "HOME" and write the article inside the content of that page??

because i cannot choose a category from the menu when attempting to choose a static page!!

another one, how much time do you expect for me to rank in the 1st page of google??

my keyword is 1000 searches, with cpc of 7 dollars, should i start building links??

just to know my website age is 1 week old

You're trying to do too much, too quickly. Slow down a bit. First, before you start trying to rank anything, you're going to need content. Start there. Play around with your homepage design while you work, but start adding content, first. How are you doing your keyword research? It's great that you've found a high dolllar keyword, but how is the competition?

Honestly just write out 5-6 articles of content so your site actually has some content.

How often do you go to a website with only 1 article? Not often, if ever!
