How To Make A "Like" Website

Gettign traffic from these is not hard at all, but I agree I was checking out the trends on FB and saw one of these sites, they actually had EXTREME TRACKING haha set to public getting a few hundred k a day hits for like the last 5 days,
I got onto a programmer had a new clone using different coding up in hours haha...

Had some small sucess with my site but really its not going to make you much money...

This can be done with a little PHP knowledge and a few hours to spare... I might do something like this.. BUT, how will you monetize this?

I am actually in the process of building something using the similar scheme. I am going to be adventurous with it and spent some monies in using a decent developer.

I am doing some extensive research and I have come up with a concept that does have a bit of a innovation to it that will gain good traffic.

I am glad to have come to this thread as it shows if amateurs can do it and get good traffic then what if a professional site is built as a startup and marketed in the right direction with early adopters to see? i already got a few players eye what I am doing including techcrunch.

So if done right and smart I think it could go viral and get you in the limelight and getting in the right limelight can make you money on 'the potential' of what it can be. I got a magazine with 20,000 in circulation will give me free press release in it and I did some stuff for the BBC once [video nation] so they will get me some press in the BBC. So I have grown some balls and going to play this one and push it to its limit, with the eyes of the world on social media and facebook I think it can work....

I have written some details spec' so if anyone has any questions give me a shout and I will try to give answer. I can not go into to much specific about exactly how the model I am creating will work but can give details about the graph api/php/etc.
