When I first started to make fan pages I thought that you can just buy some fans or get some fans from "Youlikehits" or "addmefast", post some pics and then your page would go viral. Unfortunately it's not that easy, but it's also not that hard.
This is basically for noobs - but it would have also saved me time If I knew this up front. This is nothing revolutionary but I thought it was worth posting.
You can dial this in to be niche specific as well. Let's take Tattoos, but this could be any sport, hobby, or anything.
Step 1: Set Your Fan Page.
This is obvious, but the name should be cool. Something that if someone saw that you Liked it, you wouldn't be embarrassed. I'm not that creative so I typically just google bumper stickers and the niche. So I google "Tattoo bumper stickers". I get a few good ones -"I dig Chicks with Tats", "RCT - Rude Crude & Tattooed", "Ink Addicts". I would choose "Ink Addicts".
Step 2: Get some fans
It doesn't matter where. Fiverr, youlikehits, or addmefast are my top choices. Get over 100, but I suggest over 1000. When people see that fourth figure it looks good.
Step 3: Post Pictures
Find some super cool tattoo pictures. Or if your site is Baseball, or motorcycles - whatever it is. Mix them in with some general viral Memes with a ratio of like 2 to 1. So 2 tattoo related pics, one funny or crazy pic non related, then 2 tattoo related pics. Also be aware at of the time of day you are posting. Week days between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Weekends Sunday mornings work well. I personally avoid Saturdays.
Step 4: Going Viral
The key I found out to going Viral is leveraging your own personal fan page. Before you freak out, it's safe. Don't worry. After you post your pic on the fan page, go back to your own profile and share the pic on your own page. If you are an average facebook users, you will have some where between 350 - 500 real life friends. Someone will like it, or share the photo. That is where the magic happens.
Typically I share a funny or weird photo - maybe only 1 per day on my personal site and it gets 10 likes and maybe 4 or 5 comments. Now that spreads it to my friends friends wall. If you share the photo, then when the person clicks the photo, they are now in your fan page. When they hit the arrow key, they are now scrolling through all the viral pics that you posted on that fan page. If they are into Tattoos they will share or like at least a few of those pics. Your personal page is completely removed at this point and they are sharing content directly from your fan page.
Now when you post something on the fan page you have a few real fans that will actually directly share and like stuff for you and even comment. So you just multiplied yourself.
If you have a girlfriend/ boyfriend make sure you get them to like and share as well. So you are now doubling your efforts with 1 click.
Step 5 - Keep it up!!
It will start off slow but you will see it gain momentum. Once you hit tens of thousands, then start sharing some good content and throwing in some clickbank related product reviews. Clickbank has a few tattoo products, some homemade Tattoo removal recipes and an occasional Amazon link.
Step 6 - Start Banking
Typically if the fan page does well, then I set up a website. If you have 50,000 fans that are engaged then you don't need Google to rank, f**k Big G. You will get at least 100 hits (that is only .2%) on each post, but make sure the content is good. Reviews are well written and the products are related. Anything that you can review like a diary of use works well because it allows multiple posts on the same product. Going back to the tattoo removal - if you had a 8 posts that showed the progress of a tattoo being removed hat would be great. 100 targetted visitors should get you at least 1 sale and a few adsense clicks.
Don't forget to have an Opt-in and give away something free on your website. If you can get them as a fan great, but if you can get their emails even better. I also run contests that have to be entered via email, and redirect each entry to a CPA offer.
Step 7 - Re-investing
Once you make your first sale. let's say you sell one click bank product and you make $17. Take that $17 and spend it ALL on facebook ads to your fanpage. I've spent $.35 per click because the fans I was getting were then laser targeted. Usually when I'm doing facebook ads, I am trying to get .05 clicks to make a profit from a sale. This is the other way around. You are now outbidding all the others who are trying to get cheap clicks for a quick sell. You have a long term plan for each of these fans. They will not just be buying something, they are now working for you by harvesting more fans. If each fan that you pay $.35 for gets you 10 more fans your cost is now actually $.03 per fan.
