I'd say first focus on improving your skills and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Then you gonna brainstorm new ideas and surely find source of income by yourself
 
Why this specific amount and not, say, $1,000 or $2,000/month? Honestly, without providing more details about what you can do or how much you can invest beyond your time, the easiest way is always to sell your time.

Looking at most posts, HAF/JV, etc., practically everyone who posts there says bluntly: I offer X, and I need clients. So the easiest way is to get clients for them... SEO/Reddit/Facebook/YouTube, etc. If you know how to acquire clients for even one specific niche... you'll wonder how to find time to spend money ;)
 
U will find a hard time and long hours of working before I will resch that target if u willing to try and learn a new skill with only 5 hours and no actual skill . This feels a bit demotivating but it's truth
 
I'd say focus on the skills you already have and increase them, and you'll find a way to convert your skills into money.
If you have no skills at all (skills that might be converted into money) then learn first.

From what I’ve seen, freelancing + skill-based work can start bringing income faster, while things like ecom or affiliate marketing take more upfront investment. Anyone else seeing the same?

The best I'll say is look at what you're good at and invest in it that's the best way, no once can tell you want to invest in cause in the long run you will fail once you don't have the passion for what you invest in
 
I combined dropshipping with influencer TikTok posts, and dedicating 5 hours daily made that $1.2k goal realistic
 
You could buy a site that's making that much, BHW marketplace has them sometimes.

You could also get into amazon fba, achievable target in the business.

Start a SaaS business, or social media business etc. Lots of ways to make if you have sufficient investment i guess.
