how to maintain a domain that is already ranked 1

hello everyone can you help me because I often experience this, namely: when my domain ranks 1 page 1 less than 1 week my domain immediately drops or the keyword is lost, can you give me the right advice to maintain my website which is already on page 1
?

Without more information, any suggestion will be limited to;

Keep adding content and links.

Depends on how you have ranked it. Sometimes they are sandboxed n1 just for a couple of hours to check if the CTR is according to the query. It's common that they drop afterwards.
Also, if you have blasted them, it's extremely common that they stay a little bit on the top, and then they drop like mad.
If you have developed a good SEO strategy either with BH or WH mechanisms, it shall not only stay, but maintained if you keep on going and monitoring your competence.

Personally lately I've been testing a dual-rank with a second money site for certain interesting keywords. So 1st rank is my main money site and 2nd rank is a secondary money site without a footprint except that it actually links to the first one, making it even more solid.

Just treat it as if you are still ranked 2. Do whatever got you their in first place.

After Pick that keyword to rank higher .
Figure out why you're being outranked.
Beat the other pages where it matters.
Track rankings.
Repeat for other keywords.

Just keep adding content and building high quality links. As well as investing in your own pbn

Analyze your competitors backlink and Get High Domain Authority Trusted Traffic blog backlinks to your dropped page. Also Keep backlinks regularly to maintain the ranking.

Content updating and keep on building quality backlinks.

I disagree with the rest of folks in this thread about updating your text on your money page. I would only do this if I am in a niche that requires up to date content; otherwise, I would not do it. the whole freshness concept is only relevant to certain niche. for example: "how to make apple pie" does not require any fresh content.

so if you are dancing around first position, previously, I have been to grab it for a good amount of time by making necessary changes to my H tags. this requires analysis to see how many times the keyword is mentioned across dif H tags for the top 5 or sites. also, doing 1-3 solid guest posts would definitely help.
