How to Lower Bounce rate ?

Check Google Insights for your keywords. it won't be precise but you get the idea what they are searching for. (maybe for an alternative meaning of your keyword)

again... simple as fuck: but a cpa banner at the top of your site which aims that alternate meaning ;D

Bounces are now potential leads.

Thanks for reps given!

Bounce rate is when people click on your site and click back
, i have 50% so half of them click back :D which is pretty bad

I have understood that bounce rate is not about clicking back, but instead % of Single page visits. So it's also possible that they find what they came looking for and leave which can mean back or exit.

If you share your site url then we can give some useful information about this. And then you can try those out and if you like you can use them also.

url removed

I hope someone can help ;)

Will remove site after few mins

I can't comment on you content because it's not my language but you need to ensure things flow imagine you have just read one section of the page does the next fit in perfect for example if you website was about broken biscuits

first section ten things you need to know about broken biscuits
second part some of the most common causes of broken biscuit
third part 5 great ways to reduce broken biscuits

this is of course a bad example of title use but I hope you understand the flow part I am talking about.

I would also include a video if there is something very related available on YouTube etc. but again it's about flow, think if I had just read this article what kind of video would I want to see for example I always try and make the video related to the end of my article.

On your website there's no related post's always make sure there on topic for example if someone has just searched for history of government taxes they may be interested in reading an article on current government taxes.

and lastly and the most obvious make sure the keywords you are ranking for are 100% related to the page. I'll give you an example I've just done a blast, main keyword is first and a lot of long tail that I used as my related are ranking very well but I have one keyword that I must of slipped in that is ranking between 10-12 now this has great traffic and could easily earn a me a good amount of money in first. It's also in the related list in adwords for my main keyword. Considering it was used as a related keyword in my campaign to add diversity and wasn't really targeted it should be easy to rank it to first position.
What I did was not try and rank it but leave it and start a new page with an optimized article. The reason for this it would have given me near 90 bounce rate for that keyword because although it's related to the page it's just not what people were looking for.

Hope this help any questions give me a shout

@Scritty

I must disagree with you, mate. 50% bounce for me personally is huge. I have distinct pages that get even 70% bounce rate, but those are like 2-3 pages on a 50-page site where every other page has bounce below 20% and most important pages below 10%. Even so, those 70% bounce pages can be lowered to 50% at least but I don't bother with it because if they bounce from those pages I know about the visitors they will not convert anyway.

Bounce rate is an indicator of (among other things):
- Visitor didn't found what he was looking for
- Visitor doesn't quickly and naturally find an indication (link) that he will find what he's looking for - in other words poor usability of the site
- Visitor dislikes the site and/or content or doesn't trust it

You get those right, you decrease bounce rate.

@OP:

I looked at your site. It sucks. I'd close it the moment it opens. Contrary to popular belief, MNS with just a few pages suck. Also blog-looking sites suck too at conversions and bounce rate. You want low bounce and high conversion rate? Then you need more coverage, more pages, decent content, good usability, etc. Think like a person looking for a teeth-job and you'll understand why they won't like your site and stay on it.

Make your site more interactive with more images that are related to the content. A simplistic design also does the trick, than a site which is more confusing and has a lot of internal links. Don't ad pop-ups, as a lot of viewers find this really annoying. Make sure that viewers can easily find what they are looking for. Others simply disappear if they find your site too complex.

Thanks. Will try to change design , maybe it works

Maybe you could show some example ?

Just looked at your site. Having those teeth be the first thing to pop up is sure to scare off a lot of people.

It's literally the first thing my eyes gravitated towards, and it wasn't pleasant. First thing I personally would do is replace that pic with something more aesthetic to look at, then include it down at the bottom/center of the page.

You want the first thing that people see to be something attractive.

Give emphasize at your main page by insert more banners, links and pure content.

45% is not too much I think. So you don't have to worry a lot. you can gradually reduce it by interlinking the contents with each other.

I think i need to add more content and then do inter linking.

looking at competitor sites.

1st is with super small texts and nothing informative
2nd Is small text and in the and there is links to other they articles
3rd is pretty well made, clean design , video , also call to action (phone number) is well visible.

Adding videos is a good option. and make a widget to show the recent post/ related post. it will keep them in your site.
Thanks for the Rep :)

The 'ole interesting quote from further down the article in big letters still works wonders for me. Just use some nice typography plus oversized characters (like many magazines do), and have the content wrap around it. It usually keeps visitors reading to get the full context.
