I have been writing articles lately based on what I am reading and like to use quotes to get my point across. What is the best way to quote? I have been using the block quote putting that in italics and then linking to the original article with article title after the quote inside of the block quote.is there a better way of doing this with WordPress?

Take a look at Smashing Magazine, i love how they show blockquotes.

I use Pull Quote plugin for wordpress heres the link:

using "....." does work, and in googles eyes it is a quote but using this plugin makes it look more professional. Oh and make sure no more than 5% of your content if filled with quotes

I think that's even better than what I was looking for. I have gone on a rampage trying to write something every other day and this will make the posts look more polished.

Glad your making good use of it :) Always keep in mind content is now the key to success in Google's eyes

You can block the quotes and people can automatically know about it. As someone already mentioned, you can use , ".. " in the quote. I am sure that it would solve the purpose.

I just wrote over 1000 words based on a 15 word quote. I generally average about 400 words per post. So I think the quotes won't matter too much, as that is what has helped me write a blog per day this past week. Now the best way to get these indexed as I don't want to do anymore blackhat stuff to my main site anymore.

Yes. Avoid using blackhat stuff on your main money making websites. I committed the same mistake and lost one website. It's good to be safe and use Whitehat methods.

Indeed. Whitehat may be slower and more boring, but in the end you will be laughing at the people who have been using blackhat techniques

You can either use a theme that already have such features or modify the coding manually if you are used to.
