Hello community,

this is my first post on this forum and I am very happy to be here, there a lot of good resources.

I am writing this post to ask you about your experieneces.

Soon I will launch my website project. It is like a blog but content are created by users, not by me. So you can register, write your articles, and you will get a % of the revenue (I think 50%). The niche is automotive, mainly about BMW, Audi and Mercedes. I told about this projects to some car guys and I received very positive feedbacks. It is a bit hard to understand the goal of the website if you are not a car guy :)

I want to ask you how would you promote your project to get many registered users, and to reach a good traffic. What would be a good goal at the begging? 10k view a month?

If you have experience, please write here in order to help others.

Thank you for your time, I really appreciate it!

Have a good day!

You're aiming for user generated content and that is always tricky. Offering a share of revenue at pre-launch won't attract anyone to contribute. You'll have to create content yourself initially and gain traction. When you have something to offer, only then you'll get sign ups from people who are ready to contribute.

If you don't want to rely solely on SEO, run FB ads, try posting on automotive FB groups and sub-reddits.

Like mentioned above, create a few fake profiles, add some content yourself using those profiles. Helps creating social proof and makes people sign up.

Hi, sounds really interesting! Maybe I can help you out, I currently learning about website development and would consider myself quite confident in the automotive niche (worked on freelancing projects with Audi, german automotive suppliers and currently working for Porsche).

Have a good day!

On what type of projects did you worked with Audi and now for Porsche?
