Hey guys,
I had been using manageflitter to follow with my personal account, and from November of last year up until Friday night I had gotten up to 20k followers finally. Well all day Friday I didn't use manageflitter, I followed manually. Not sure how man I followed but I don't think it was over 300 users for sure. That was earlier that day. When I got home that night I opened up manageflitter, and tried to search an account's followers and I searched for 100k results so it took it forever to load. I got tired of waiting after an hour and I got on tweepi and followed 14 people and unfollowed 8. I got on my twitter and no more than 5 minutes later I was suspended.
I wasn't sent an email for an explanation or warning, and I'm not sure what their explanation was for the suspension because I never got one. I have filed several tickets, and emailed them several times and I have had no responses whatsoever. I just want my account back but I don't know if I even have a chance. It took me forever to get that amount of followers and I really don't want to start over.
Obviously I've never used a bot, or any of the methods on here as I don't own a business and I'm also just a college guy that was trying to eventually get 40k followers.

I see so many accounts building up their followers by the thousands in less than 4 weeks and they don't get suspended or banned. I really don't understand it.

I would also like to add that a friend of mine can favorite tweets and they show up in my interactions but it still says that I am suspended.

Wow, that sucks. I built one of my accounts to 28k with Manageflitter until some nerdy ass twat hacked it. I found out who he was and everything because he didn't cover his tracks and reported him to the IC3 and he hasn't posted anything to my Twitter or his personal FB in a while, so maybe the got him :) Back on track with Manageflitter, just search the tag "Follow back" and follow all those people. About 1/2 should follow back and I never had any problems. Good luck and hope you get your account back..

anyone else have anything to add on how you know when you're banned? or other tips?

When you're banned you can't log in. Otherwise it's not a ban, just a follow limit.

I can log in, but when I try and click the "me" section, it says I'm suspended. But like I said, if someone favorites one of my tweets that will still show up, it shows in my interactions.
But I don't know that it's a follow limit because I didn't follow near as many users as I normally follow in a day.

Also if I get on with a friend's account on their laptop, it pulls up prior mentions to me username, and when I click my username it gives the message "sorry, this user is suspended".

It usually takes a few days for Twitter to respond to your ticket. After submitting your ticket did you check your mail to see an automatic email from Twitter explaining that you need to respond to open the ticket?

Yes, I got the automated response, just not the cause of suspension. And I replied to their automated response as it said in the email to respond above the line if after reading the email I was still unsure of what happened.
I didn't know it took a couple days for them to actually respond. I was expecting 24-36 hours for a response. Do they even work on weekends though?

Just send them a follow up, act innocent say you have no idea what happened you were just following people that looked like someone you would want to get their updates from.

I have had a couple of accounts suspended multiple times and always go them back. Never reference tools or anything that shows you were automating your account.

just send him a follow up back and just watch them carefully like you are nothing involve with it..

I sent them a follow up yesterday I believe, but I still have not heard a thing from them. I even disable any following/unfollowing apps from the account just to be safe. But like I said, I'm not 100% sure it was for aggressive following since I only followed and unfollowed a small amount at the time of my suspension. And like I also said, I did not recieve an answer on why I was suspended.

Just give it time and leave the account alone for a bit. Let them tell you what to do. Usually they tell me that I should disable any products that I might have recently added, I say yes sir... they say enjoy your account :)

One of my accounts was suspended yesterday for the first time. So I wanted to open a ticked and to my big surprise they've returned to the old way - tick 2 squares, captcha, submit and account unsuspended immediately.

That's strange, I don't think when I filled out my ticket it was like that. I'm still suspended though, but I'm replied to their follow up email and stated that i've read their policies, rules, removed anything that could be a threat from my account, and also stated that I wasn't even sure it was for aggressive following since they never notified me what the suspension was for.

Just give it another day sometimes they are slow dealing with requests. The ticking the squares option is only available on accounts that have not been suspended before.
