How to know if offer is genuine?

I have received an offer for one of my domain name which is currently not active. They contacted on my email listed in whois and offering $xxxx which is quite surprising for me. The email is not written in perfect english and they haven't disclosed their company's name. Is it a legit one or another scam to get my domain somehow? Should I even respond to it or let it go?

Smells like a scam. Do you think there is any reason for the domain to be worth that price?

List your domain on sedo or other domain broker and leave all to it. It works best for good domains and saves you from troubles.

Scam for sure they will rip you off do not do it.
