How to know if my pm box is full?

As far as I know, there is no such limit to receiving messages from other users on the forum even we are non upgraded members
Here are the possibilities
1:- They might not send any PM
2:- You have turned “Send a direct message to you” to Nobody (checkout once privacy settings)

I think there is a limit to 500 though
Just that I haven't experienced any of it
And I am sure a normal user should be able to view their messages
Just that this op maybe getting a different issue

Does it really has limit?
I haven't found any official article on the forum mentioned about the limit. Other than this, “you'll receive a LARGER PM box (Over 500 PM Capacity) this is mentioned on the upgraded page

That's true, some people don't actually send PMs, just comments saying they've sent.
