How to kill a great earning website?

Good morning folks,

Charlie Munger has the most famous quote, "I just want to know where I'm going to die so I never go there."

My question:

I have an affiliate & Ads website that is working well and making good money. Most Traffic generated via SEO.

What do I need to do to kill my Traffic or seriously harm a websites Traffic?

Build too many bad links from spam sites with hard anchor texts?

Too many links to a single subpage?

Post duplicated content on mass?

Not posting new articles?

In the big picture: How robust is an SEO optimized website, and what do I need to do wrong to really kill all my Traffic?

If the site is down or loading slowly for a few weeks, it'll lose the rank gradually.

Buy toxic links

Put it in maintenance mode for a month.

Ask a cartoon service 'expert', but if you're avoiding toxic garbage, your site should be fine.

Execute a DDOS attack on yourself, some dude a couple of days ago was showing stats on how the attack destroyed his outreach on search results.

To kill a great earning website is to do as follows.

Think that your money and business is in the hands of 3rd party (ie. Google).

Don't build e-mail lists. Don't sell your products. Don't build brands. Don't try PPC and avoid building following, so people never find you if something happens to your website.

As soon as google stops sending traffic to your website, you will want your domain to drop and move onto something new.

This is absolutely true.

Start writing negative things about every google product on your site, spam the shit out of them.. some employee or intern will notice your site and you'll get exactly what you want.

As you completely depend on SEO. All you have to do is just pray that Big G don't put your website in the next algo hit list for no reason.

What would you define as toxic?

What kind of links?

Will some bad links hurt, or do you need plenty of them to really damage a good standing site?

I like the questions that you asked because you focus primarily on practices and decisions that will kill your traffic eventually.

But I would like to submit that this is just part of the big picture.

You're definitely on the right track by avoiding bad practices that would screw your site up.

You listed many of the most common ways to attract some sort of penalty or some sort of downgrade from Google.

But I'd like to draw people's attention to the other half of this problem.

You have to understand that SEO is a dynamic competition.

When you practice SEO, you're focusing on the things you can control on your site as well as the backlinks that you intentionally seek to get.

That is all well and good, but if you do that, you're only paying attention to half the big picture.

The other half is what your competitors are doing.

So even if you avoid doing all these things that can screw you up, your competitors can still beat you.

Your industry can change.

They can change their content and their direction.

There's just so many other changes in your industry.

And if you just think that you can publish your website using the best SEO practices, get good results, and permanently stay there, then you have another thing coming.

You can't coast in this game.

The moment you start to coast or relax or sit on your hands, that is the moment your competition will start eating you up.

You have to keep an eye on what they're doing.

It's a dynamic game.

Let's put it this way.

When you started, you started out with zero traffic.

You had to displace somebody else.

Do you see how this works?

So for whatever reason, they stopped changing.

They stopped evolving.

So they got displaced by you.

What's preventing you from being displaced by somebody newer and hungrier?

So you have to look at the other side of the equation, which is the dynamic nature of the competition.

So at the very least, do a content audit.

Also, audit what your competitors are doing.

Are they targeting new keywords?

What new content do they have?

Are these getting any traction?

Should you come up with your own versions?

These are the kinds of questions that you need to visit at least twice a month so that you can stay several steps ahead of your competition.

There is no room for complacency in online publishing, I'm sorry to say.

I doubt you are not talking about your own website. You are talking about somebody else's website you want to damage ranking of. You are just hesitant to ask it straight.

Pls correct me if I am wrong.

If this is true, then my friend, this is a wrong and unethical business practice. I am sure nobody in this forum will support this idea.

I have a wonderful suggestion for you -

If you really want to down any websites ranking then build another website that is much better in terms of SEO and all and you will have out ranked that website. Problem solved.

my sites are so under the ground that they never existed to be killed

Do nothing to enhance the SEO performance.

Buy very cheap bulk toxic backlinks wherever you can get them.

Go to CPanel - > File Manager

Delete whatever file you find there. whatever.
