How to keep track of backlinks?

Hi guys,

more or less by chance did I stumble upon a guestpost of mine on a partners website and noticed that the hard earned backlink was changed to a redirected one .

That raised the following question for me:

How do you keep track of your backlinks, especially those hard earned manually created ones?

I am looking for a tool or solution, which gives me an overview over my several websites and their backlinks. A good feature beyond the sheer listing of the URL would be a notification if a link is not live anymore.

Any suggestions?

Backlinks analyze tools available. But, I don't think there is a tool exists for sending notification if it is the particular link removed.
You have to find out manually those lost links

Ahrefs can send reports on lost links.

How do you do it? Excel lists don't seem to be the best solution.
