The op originally posted that he was using multiple IP. I want to do something like this and am wondering if it is still necessary to do this if you are using private browsing in Firefox (i.e. no cookies) and deleting the flash cookies as well. If so, should it be done with a VPN?

It is not a big problem to keep multiple yahoo answer accounts safe. But before leaving a session you should to clear the cookies data because your username and password stored in the cookies and yahoo while maintaining data can pick it from your cookies and delete the spamming accounts. So it is very necessary to clear the browser data.
