You can use the descriptive title for the group make sure the relevant content is important. There are certain rules of google groups community that helps you to parasite the content.

Shoot a load of cheap backlinks to it, that'll usually do the trick. But get your content on there ASAP as the functionality will be removed in the near future (at least via usenet).
