I was wondering if anyone can provide any advice on ranking my autoblog. The autoblog is locally aimed and pulls questions related to the towns in my county from yahoo answers along with videos from youtube and some articles from the local papers.

I did some copyscape checks on some of the posts and only the source is found as its super niche and sometimes not even the source is found on some posts and only my page is shown as the source.

I know tons of autoblogs seem to easily rank sometimes better then the original and these autoblogs usually rip articles that are on hundreds of other autoblogs... i cant see duplicate content being the issue but for some reasons its refusing to be indexed.

Its been about a week maybe slightly less and 14/1k pages are indexed and the sites building its self up by about 50 posts - 100 posts a day.

When the sitemap was at about 900 I spread a 200k scrapebox blast out across those 900 links and that is when 14 got indexed. I also mass pinged the 900 pages with prstorm.

How long does it usually take to get indexed properly? Ive also got about 200 pages of images ripped from flickr.

any advice would be great,
Cheers.

It's always better to rank a single page first and then build the autoblog. Maybe try some bookmarking, there is a plugin called social backlinker pro. Also check your auto posting plugin - usually there is an option for auto pinging all new posts.
In general - now it gets a bit longer to get indexed.

Utilize other services that can build links for you...I suggest FriendFeed to start with. Set up auto tweets of new posts as well. Those two things should be a good foundation.

Thanks for the advice. I will implement these things into the blog to see if anything improves. Once a few pages get crawled they should all start to get crawled. Im using a variety of plugins such as the one that shows other similar posts on the blog (like 5) and other plugins that should help me get crawled. If each page ends up with 100 links to it then I cant see why they shouldnt all get indexed.

The autotweeter should help and to be honest I havnt set it up yet.

What is friendfeed?

cheers.

bump the more advice the better.

1. Interlink your posts. The best way to auto interlink is using WP Smart Link plugin
2. Syndicate your posts to FB, Twitter, Identica etc automatically using Network Publisher plugin. Use Bit.ly for shortening service. Bit.ly uses 301 redirection. That way your posts will get some link juice
3. Ping your sitemap often
4. Use WP's built in pinging function

Definitely index it first before adding autoblog features.

You need a lot of backlinks. Once you have valuable and good amount of backlinks, google will crawl and cache your site a lot more frequently.

I've found the best way to juice an autoblog is with autoblogs. I'll make a "money" autoblog with a niche product feed or similar, and support it with several unmonetized autoblogs (hosted and service providers) with mashup and spun content, linking to the money autoblog via the blogroll or RSS widget. I try to get them into rss directories and other places that aggregate feeds and then a little manual commenting or automated bookmarking goes a long way.

Your subject says "index" but you ask for ranking advice.

Anyway, don't use autoblog as it was. I use it to fatten the site and target more long tail keywords. I also load it up with unique content.

Then build links as usual. You can find a bunch of SEO and backlink advices here in the forum.

where can we found natural look templates for autoposting blogs ? (wordpress panel)
