How to Increse PR from 0 to 3?

Hi,

i have read lot about link building at this
nice forum and want to increase the PR
of my site from 0 to 3 in one PR update.

I m confused that what are the steps
i need to adopt to increase the PR of my site. for example
if i submit my site to 1000 good PR directories
will it be sufficient to get PR3? if not then what
steps i should follow to increase PR up to 3.

There are lot of SEO gurus here so please suggest
me the exact steps.

submitting to directories isn't that much effective to build your pageranl.
you should do it , but its not the only thing you should do.

what you should do is to comment on high PR pages of some high PR blogs either with your keywords as anchor text or simply a name.

that would definitely increase your PR from 0 to 3.

just do the commenting , lots of in good PR pages and you will have PR3 easily.

One or two Do-Follow links from a relevant PR4 page with not so many outbound links will take you to PR3

You need a ton of backlinks to your URL. I have a site that is only a few months old and it's really a sales page with a PR2 right now because of backlinks I shot to it.

You need backlinks!

If you check the download section... I think Luohan shared an ebook which showed how you can get 80-something backlinks -free and easy from some very powerful, high ranking sites. I was looking for that thread, so I could send you the link, but couldn't find it. Just go read through that section, some other very powerful share can be found there as well, which you would find helpful.

Another way to help increase PR besides good backlinks is by buying some cheap traffic.

I've posted this on a different thread here where someone was asking the same thing:

A little over a year ago,
I submitted a site to about 200 free directories (using Br@d C@llen's? free directory submitter).

added a link on:
4 different 3bay 'about me' pages
a yah0o profile page
a 'go0gle page'
a bl0gger blog
a w0rdpress hosted blog
self hosted w0rdpress blog
another related site I have ( also had 0 pr at the time)
mysp@ce page
a free directory focusing on sites related mine
maybe 5 blogs, as comments, but should have been all no follow

Created 4 or 5 screencapture videos showing my site and submitted them to yt, yah0o vids, metacafe, 1 or 2 more. I didn't put a link back to my site on any of these vid sites however.
Added links on a couple more social sites that I can't recall right now.

When g0ogle updated pr, the site was a 3.

There's better and more in depth info on this forum about generating backlinks, just showing what got a pr 3. More sites used to post backlinks on and more automation would help for sure.

I've seen that pr doesn't mean anything now, but if nothing else, many people think it does. With a pr of 3 rather than 0, it should be easier to find link partners from there.

The 'linkwheel' thread here on bhw should give you some ideas.

1) Blog comments > Very highly recommended... One has to realise first that he.she has to post comments only in Do-Follow blogs and not No-follow
Getting links in No-follow will help you get traffic but will not help you get any link

2) Forum Posting > Please make sure you dont spam any forum, you will get quality links from quality forums only if you dont spam and actually contribute...
Go to google and search for your niche + forums and try and find the best forums... make useful threads and place your links in your signature..

3) Social Bookmarking> The lates and the best way to get high PR links.. just search the net for social sites and you will find tons of list.. now you will want to post to all of them ... OR what i use is onlywire that will reduce your work and help you automate the process...

4)EDU links > Very effective and very difficult to get, so try and get these from your friends or if you know someone in your family

5) Flickr and Youtube > ie Images and Videos , these can get you some serious traffic and can get you some quality backlinks...

Also i forgot to mention make sure you always use your anchor text as your keyword and post your website link in the URL section...

Just remember PR alone won't get you top positions on Google. You need search optimized content to get top spots.

I have a PR 4 Site with only 17 back links no higher than 4 and most 0 or 1. To find the site on Google you need to search for the domain name.

On the other hand I have a PR 3 with 2000+ quality back links and the PR has been 3 a long I can remember. This site has hundreds of first page position in Google and gets its share of visitors.

Pr is one of 50+ elements to determine whether your blog is on the top Google or not, that is what Matt Cutts said in his blog
