Bad advice. Authority is important reguardless what suppliers that provides its metric. Redirects wont harm you, itll just look obviously manipulated if anyone reviews your website for whatever reason.
If you want to naturally increase da then you need to get alot of referring domains. Quality doesn't matter as much for this, although better quality will help it grow faster.

besides what others tell you in securing solid backlinks, don't forget about interlinking and also you need to make sure you have strong clean backlink profile. stay away from getting shitty backlinks.

Look up ahrefs guide to increase website authority (DR). Pay to be placed in good & real blogs (not fiverr ones), there’s ways to get it from Reddit, and many other. Just get more people talking about your site on the internet.

If you try to increase DA score per say then the problem you gonna run into is that some tools will show it DA as very low some will show it high and you will "give the game away".
So you wanna build site/bog like a real one and lots of high quality content and get lots of real traffic and as a icing to the cake add/buy/buid backlinks.

There could be many reasons why someone would want to improve their DA ratings (even though it practically doesn't directly impact your search rankings). So my advice would be to build as many backlinks from as many different website possible. If the websites have high DA themselves then they will help your DA grow faster.
But stay away from redirects. It is not going to do good for your business.

If you only care about a high DA, throw some shitty backlinks at your website. If you wanna increase your DA and care about your website then build some quality links through a guest post on good blogs, pay for good links and create high-quality content.

You don't need everything to be high quality to have a good ranking website. You only need high quality backlinking blogs to rank, everything else can be trash as long as its not super spammy according to moz. There are a ton of "spammy" forums/profiles/directories to post to help add to your referring domains and they won't hurt your rankings.

Yes on page very important and blog backlinking quality is important. However, everything else can be mostly crap to mediocre when it comes to backlinking, its not going to hurt your site unless you aggressively abuse it.
If you mean DA in the eyes of Moz, forget it. It is a shittly, worthless outdated metric, the same as their spam score.
If you mean domain authority in Googles eyes, get great links.
