"I write a fantastic blog but I still don't get the traffic I want."
This is the typical rant you would hear from a person that just started in the digital marketing world.
Like we did it in a snap.
But, hey, admit it. You've also felt the frustration when you started.
You see, there are many ways on how you could drive traffic fast. It's just a matter of action... and choice.
Of course, SEO plays a huge role in all of this. If you know your content is worth reading, "inject" quality according to the standards of search engines. Yes, 'algorithms' is the word.
Use keyword phrases or what we call 'long-tail keywords.' Think like your target market: what are the exact words you would key in if you're looking for a pair of sneakers? I'm sure you are not just going to type 'shoes.'
You may consider writing about what's trending. Most people have FOMO and Google is their savior.
'How-To' articles and listicles can also help increase traffic for your blog. Well, I'm a fan Top 10s of anything and so are most of the people of the bored internet universe.
Another option is having a freelancer write it for you.
Leaving it to the experts is not a sign of throwing in the white towel. If someone's better than you are, pay him and let him do it for you.
That isn't waste; that's called investment. That's how business starts, digitally young one.
Think of it this way: you pay the writer for a blog that you will own for the rest of your website's life. I haven't heard any ghostwriter ask for royalty fees, so I think that's one less worry.
I hope I've helped you ease up the pressure you put on yourself.
