How to increase website Traffic for Pharmacy Website

Maybe this has been said but I didn't read the other comments.

Look in to what the Russians/eastern Europeans are doing with Buy Viagra Online and similar KWs. Its pretty cool.

The thing is, ranking for pharma KWs, you are competing against cyber criminals with seemingly endless resources. Is there anything wrong with that? Heck no. "If you can't beat em, join em"
 
Advertise on BHW
Use trent in facebook to find related post and comment in those posts promoting your website I always use it for my products and I think it works.
 
You need to use ads. Forget SEO because they won't let you sit pretty at #1 with an illegal website. Nor will your pharma competitors who will 100% guaranteed neg. SEO you.

You'll need to use a lesser known ad service (possibly an adult one) too.
 
Increase your website traffic:

3. Keep it simple
4. Take clear, high quality photographs
5. Create a navigation menu
6. Create infographics
7. Start a podcast

There are several different methods and tactics one could use. Last I knew there were at least 750 ways on how to increase website traffic, I'm certain there are more. I prefer using keyword research, writing content related articles, content related blogs, forum posting and commenting, etc., and many of the good tips you got here already. I hope I helped?

I am handling an online pharmacy, here what you can do

1 . create a blog and use ego bait as a content strategy ( remember it should be useful to reader, you can add your pharma link in bottom or middle )
2. use same content ( means theme not word by word copy ) to create docs and share it in doc sharing
3. use same content to create an info graphic ( use easel.ly ) and post it in imgur and other image sharing site site, don't forget to add your branding
4. now use all of the above things and share it in social bookmarking sites and in forums
6. use answer sites like wiki answer and quora to link those ebook/articles/infographics
 
Start using real video testimonials at homepage. Add customer reviews and use social networks to increase your brand awareness. Always prefer to interact with readers through comments.

If there is negative comment then reply it in a positive manner. Participate in a forums related to your niche and give some attractive offers that grab user attention.

Make your site simple, add relevant content and high quality infographics. You can also start affiliate marketing as it helps you in generating leads.

Go for local SEO for non English sites.
 
You can get traffic from many ppc sites which are very cheap and can lead you to sales.You can also try bing which is as good as adwords
 
Youtube and PPC can get you high quality backlinks and conversions!
 
Hell lot of Unique HQ content + 301 redirect from expired domains with backlink from Wikipedia is my way to rank my Pharma sites within 2 to 3 weeks.

There are a few ways for you to increase your web traffic and make sales.
1.SEO(The most effective and long term strategy)
2.PPC.(You can use different types of pay per click advertisement)
3.Social Media(Effective but takes time and creativity if you want to benefit for the long term)
4.Email Marketing.
5.Forums

These are effective methods that can increase your website traffic if done the right way.

I can suggest you few things about backlink.

First, you must have have backlink from website that have same niche with you like Springer, WebMD, etc.
After that, maybe you can generate real traffic from offline advertising in CAMPUS. You know that everyone in campus, especially the students, have internal blog like blabla.ac.id (in Indonesia, i dont know in India). My friend try to do this, make some event in campus, and he want the students make some review for his product in their blog. This is very high authority backlink.
