I have the idea to set up a website to run advertising services selling cosmetic products.
I want to increase traffic to the website
I have an idea to try run facebook ads. (click to web)
Is there any other way?

You can either grow your traffic by either :
- paid traffic (facebook ads, adwords, bing ads, twitter ads...)
- organic traffic (work on your SEO, grow social media accounts, rank youtube videos...)

there are many ways to do this, you can find many methods here

For cosmetic products (paid ads) Facebook is probably best since you can target much better then for example Adwords.

Facebook ads, seo, youtube videos, commwnts in facebook groups related to cosmetisc, instagram accs with special offers ... go for it!

Spend Attention to On-Page Search Engine Optimization
Concentrate on Long Tail Keywords and Phrases
Start out Guest-blogging

I agreed to the paid traffic (as long as it is genuine and comes from reputable service provider) & also the organic traffic as in work on your SEO :)

AdWords. I recently ran a few tests with Facebook for cosmetics. Spent maybe$100 with no sales. Probably need to work on targeting. Would've really liked to do video ads, but I didn't have a video. For me Facebook ads is just so different from targeting keywords...had to learn and adjust to targeting interests, etc.

For Cosmetics Instagram is best. Have seen some rocking results for clients from Instagram. Make a quality video ad. They do much better than text/image ads.

Hope this will help you. I have shared the tips for increasing the traffic in the same post.[/QUOTE]
Thanks

I think what is not in the money will be exchanged for another. :)

I can hire an advertiser. That's a good idea

I think there is just a learning curve because it's so different from targeting keywords via Adwords or SEO. Once you get the hang of it and you have sufficient data, it should work well. That's going to cost some money upfront, but that goes for any paid advertising.
