How to Increase the Conversion Rate??

I have seen tons of threads on how to get more traffic or how to spam like a machine to get more eye balls on your content but no one talks about what techniques one can apply to increase the conversion rate. More like getting the best out of your current traffic.

I would like all of you to share your tips, tricks and the techniques you use to sky rocket your conversion rates.

Somethings which seems to work for me:

1. Adding fake comments
2. Having a 100% safe logo on your site
3. Showing a FB page with a lot of likes - people think this site is legit and popular

That's all I have tested so far.

As a manager, I think it would be okay for me to chime in here I've seen some people do exceptionally well with CPA, and unfortunately, I've seen some major mistakes that have drowned a site. I'll list a few of the biggest game changers I've seen.

#1. Less is More: Overcrowding a site with ads will lower conversions. It's better to have fewer high quality CPA offerings than a ton of unrelated and tacky ads.
#2. Keyword Search/Up-selling/Cross-selling: Offer users what they're looking for - If it's downloading: find a network that offers the keyword lookup in their landers. If they're buying something: find a complimentary offering they feel they need.
#3. Do not use iFrames/Smart-ads Where Possible: Customize your links/landers/creatives and test what works. There's nothing worse than to see a great site operated by someone who can't program well enough to monetize it - it's lazy. The more related and unique your ads are to your users, the more they'll be likely to sign up/buy/join/download/whatever.
