Remove the keyword and use the Keyword Planner to find additional keyword ideas.
Change the keyword match type to something broader. For example, if the keyword is exact match, you could change it to broad match. Update the keyword to something less specific.

If your keywords specifically help the visitors in day-to-day life, you can easily increase the search volume.
The simple way is that you should share the page in public gathered sites/forums in your niche.
If you can, make it a trend in social media. Get more followers from these sources.
You can use bots/software. But you will get penalized by Google at any point and will ruin all your efforts.
So just think about what you should do with your own source manually. This will definitely help to get what you are expected.

It depends what your looking to achieve.
As above, if you actually just generally want to grow the search term then it's a bit more a brand type exercise.
You've got to think outside of Google to raise it's prominence, whether that be social/traditional marketing etc - for example if you hammered a regular TV ad for a specific term, it'll grow in search volume considerably...
