If you want to earn more, target some higher CPC niche/audience/keywords, different Geos or/and aim for more traffic,
These what you should mainly focus on, other stuff is just technical that won't make such a big impact

you have kept auto ads? if yes then what is the ad load and formats? I am currently playing with formats and ad load and i am getting around $10 RPM but with all ad formats and locations i was getting more but site becomes really slow and traffic decreases.

So, one thing I'm not seeing in the comments is that the vertical matters. A lot. If you have a gaming website, you're going to get paid less than a Finances website. That's because advertisers typically generate more eCPM in Finance. So, consider what's profitable for advertisers and try to implement it in your site. Understand advertising as a whole and which verticals to strive for. Good luck.
