How to increase followers?

Hello All

I get loads of impressions for my tweets, I post quality content with relevant hashtags and interact with people on their tweets... However, I get very few followers...

What should I do to increase them?

I do NOT want to buy followers or apply the follow-back method...

I have the same problem, have a 400k account, I have around 40k impressions per tweet, but I keep losing followers every day, I can no longer use the followback method because twitter locks me then I don't get a call on my cell to confirm my number, and have to contact support. I get locked after giving 30 follows in a day, is practically impossible at this point.

The only way I can think off is Twitter Ads or post extremely viral content and dedicate all day to get rt's and likes.

Find the people that are interested in what you post. Do you have competitors? Go and check their own followers. The cheap way to get followed is to follow. But if you don't wanna do that, you'll need to grab those followers' attention somehow, give something away, buy ads or the modern technique which seems to be to stir controversy where there's none.
