I have a page with 550k members and do about 120k average reach per text post with a link. Engagement is super low hovering at around 1% per post.
I've literally tried everything to increase my Facebook page reach (i.e. making sure content's unique, call to action to increase engagement, changing OG tags to replicate news sites, etc.)
What I did notice is that you can start showing up on a user's news feed if they engage your posts (link click, like, comment, etc.) Also, it looks like that they'll only see the type of post that they engaged with so if it's a photo only photos will show up in news feeds, if its a text status, then only text statuses will show up in their news feeds.
So basically we have to get creative and figure out how to get users who can't see our posts to engage our posts. So I guess the main trick here would be to start driving traffic to your Facebook pages outside of Facebook or start boosting posts to your fans only with high engagement while making sure your post type is the same as your regular posts.
I just thought I'd share so that we can start figuring out ways to creatively manipulate our organic reach.
Have any ideas?
