How to increase DA/PA of my website?

My website has a DA of 31. How can I increase it faster?

Build more backlinks to it from high DA sites.

It's just a third party metric though. You should be focusing on bringing your traffic up

Doesn’t Google rank websites with high DA better?

Like I said it's just a third party metric.

I can make a site with super high DA by pointing useless backlinks to it, doesn't mean Google will rank it higher.

Exactly.

When you use any metric, it is a third party metric: you don't know exactly how Google's algorithm uses it.

Let me more clear the things domain authority (DA) is third party (Moz) metrics of-course google don't consider any third party metrics or tools, it's google giant men it's have own ranking factors, metrics, tools, rankbrain etc. to determine rank of any specific webpage.

Everyone accept link is the primary ranking factor of google so now come to your question how to increase DA, answer is same which is primary ranking factor of google you can't completely ignore third party metrics (Moz, Majestic, Ahrefs) as they calculated based on google's ranking factors, metrics, tools, rankbrain etc.
