I have a site that is indexed well with good number of backlinks.

For certain keyword I cannot get it to the first page. Any suggest some strategies?

Focus on quality link building like guest post
competitor analysis and then approach your competitors backlink,
It will really help you rank

There is a difference between good number of backlinks and no of good backlinks

So you have to concentrate on getting backlink from the top sites in your niche and frequent content in your site related to that keyword
 
1. How is content in regards to the top 10 in google? Are you following suit and adding more information or how is your word count compared to them.

2. Have you optimized your page (On-page SEO)? - Explain what you've done.

Thankyou, I think im doing good with onpage but im not sure
 
Publish unique and informative content regularly and optimize it for user intent.

Build links from high authority and relevant sites, check site speed, On-page optimization and improve the traffic of your site.

Before ranking for certain keywords, you should analyze the competition of the kw

Don't target the broad kw instead optimize and try to rank for LSI kws, in a long run it will rank for the main kw itself if the content is Good

Build quality links not quantity links, shit tons of toxic links will destroy the site
 
Improve your website's user experience, Write great content optimized for SEO and Get more backlinks.
