How to improve google ranking

I have a website. I am working last 1 year but can not improve its google rank. Please help me how can I do it.

By doing SEO, by adding quality content, either one or both.

Quality and fresh content is in the first place, quality backlinks on the second. Social signals and guest blogging are also a must. Focus only on most promising and not so competitive keywords. Logtail keywords are also a good strategy. Forget about spamming on public article directories or forums, avoid link farming.
 
 
Do you mean Page Rank when you say google rank? Or its position for certain keywords? Anyway, the answer for both questions is SEO (backlinks), but I am not sure that Google still updates Page Rank anymore.
 
Have you a targeted keyword to rank at Google?

To outrank competitors at Google, you need to analysis the 10 top competitors. Then do SEO - both content and link building.
 
As it seems you are a bit new to the SEO game, my recommendation is Youtube for several tools. 1.) I would definitely learn Google webmaster tools and google analytics. Both of these free tools will help you out big time. The google tools can be very difficult to understand but the videos on youtube show you how to get the information you need quickly. The best part......It's FREE! This will help you to discover which words you'll need in your sites titles, domain, and content to fly with the eagles of your marketplace. Hope it helps. Look up Google keyword tool (you will need to sign up with google here and they ask for a credit card for security purposes, they do not charge you but keep it on file in case you would like to advertise in the future)
 
First of all, get a blog and post interesting articles with few keywords. Share those blogs on social bookmarking sites. Make press releases and submit on press release websites, do forum posting and marketing on social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc.
 
please i have same problems.. i really dont know how to get many backlinks to my site as possible.

I think back links are not important as it is though that they are! You should not bother with them too much in the beginning.
Also, blogs/socials/this s*it, forget about it... :)
You have to know your customers, and even more important (this is the most important thing in website RANKING, in all this SEO bulls*it theory),
you have to know HOW do your customers SEARCH FOR this service/products you sell on the internet! (WHAT DO THEY TYPE IN SEARCH BAR when they are searching for it)
When you know this, it is easy to make a website.
You keep your pages clean and simple, and there you go... ;)
And these pages/titles of your pages are also VERY IMPORTANT. Name your pages with your keywords.
Be smart, make a good plan of your website (pages, infos, etc) and you must see some result...


I am no pro in this matter, I know little about all this :),
but I somehow managed to make a website which is always on first page, for 3 languages (in google/yandex).
And not just on first page, often in first place on first page, depending on which keyword is used....
How many back links I have? ONE! (from my friends website, PR 3)
I also placed my website in couple of website databases (good ones) with their links in my footer,
and there you go. Also, I placed my website in my signature on a couple of forums I visit, and that is it about all blogs/socials/links/good content/off page SEO I made... ;)


I am in transport business, taxi transfers to be exact, and transfer from the airport is my core business.
I provide transfer from 3 airports, I have a page for each of those airports on my website (titles of those pages are airport names of course).
I have price tables on each page, names of the cities we drive to and prices for that transfer,
and some text included about how long does it take to get from airport XXXX to city XXXX...
This info about how long does it take to get from xxx airport to xxxx city is not important at all maybe, but that's how my customer is looking for his transfer on the web! :willy:

How does my customer looks for a transfer? (the most important question FOR ME, for my website, and the most important question for each webmaster)
He types the name of the airport he is coming to for sure, he adds keyword "transfer" or "taxi transfer" or "transport" , and then maybe
he adds the name of the city he is going to... I have all that info at my website (as I mentioned, I have "transfer from xxx airport to xxxx city lasts about 1 hour"),
keyword "transfer" included in my domain name, in my website description of course,
I have a lot of info at my website about how do we provide this transfer, how do we meet our customers at the airport, a lot of text/stuff connected with transportation of people,
written for humans, and adapted for search engines of course... :willy:


So there you go, I hope I gave you and idea or two what you should do with your website to make it rank better.
I gave you all I have, I hope it will be worth something... :D
 
 
i think quality link building stills work, i know many people will not agree with my statement, i just found results with my last week work... social media is a good way to grab traffic as well.
