I've done most of the things that came to my mind on optimizing follow back ratios on my accounts, such as writing a good profile bio, using good profile picture, post quality content, experiment with a lot of follow sources, mainly account with less than 100k followers (usually I use account with 5k~20k followers), remove the one with least follow back ratio after 200~300 follow of that sources (I follow users that interact with the account and their followers).
However, after all this, my travel niche account gain about 10~12% follow back ratio, the other gets about 7~8% follow back ratio.
How do those people manage to get more than 20% follow back?
