How to host on AWS like this?

I have been doing some tests to see what kind of hosting is used by high traffic websites and so many times I see following records in the DNS.

ns-893.awsdns-47.net
ns-1556.awsdns-02.co.uk
ns-1068.awsdns-05.org
ns-150.awsdns-18.com

Is there any tutorial or guide etc which I can use host websites on AWS like that. I assume everything will be snappy on AWS, so want to give it a try myself and feel if any different from DO.

Oh well, looks like a custom site using Zepto (a jQuery like plugin). They are using route53 for resolving the sites faster (although it did not make such a difference for me since I am from the opposite side of the world anyway lol). Doesn't look anything special

If I had to remake this site, I would rather use something like nextjs or astrojs since that would be even faster.

Edit: Judging by the body classes, it looks like they use wordpress as the cms.

I don't have any working experience with route53, but cloudflare as a dns works perfectly fine and fast. If you read a little about how domain resolving works, you will know that there won't be too much difference anyway (often times, a request goes through more than 2-3 dns servers to get to the main one.. then it gets cached on the local dns level for a day or so).

I would suggest using cloudflare if route53 costs money. Otherwise, there's no harm to try it (may be do a split test).

Yes. It's just a DNS service. You don't have to host your sites on amazon to use route53.

Cloudflare is more than a DNS. Route53's Geoproximity routing is a lot more cheaper than cloudflare if you're hosting the content on multiple servers located in different regions/countries.

You mean it acts like a load balancer on the dns level? That sounds interesting. How do you do this on cloudflare btw?

Exactly and it routes the traffic to the server that is located closest to the user. CF calls it as Traffic steering. It's an add-on feature on their load balancing service. Route53 offers the same geo routing at cheaper price but we lose all the benefits that we get on CF.

Can we get to know the hosting used by a website that is using Route53.

Yeah Route53 won't mask your hosting server's IP like CF does.

That site is hosted on AWS as well in US West region.

If you think geeksforgeeks is fast, then try navigating around this site.

You can also check out aws global accelerator if you care about speed and network management of your website, it’s more than just dns resolving like route53

When you get a host a fast one hopefully, you can then use aws dns server to make pages and images load faster .

That all them dns domains ip mean .

You can just use aws for website and use there dns system .

Of course aws is a full server setup on it own so need to learn.

Can try YouTube and udemy for help to setup .

If you don't understand server setups, stuck with a host

There many on here from $9 a year and fast .

You can't have the same functionality on wordpress sites but you can make wp work similar using this plugin.

It simply fetches the links on the page when the user is idle. When you click a link, it'll feel like the page loaded instantly but it works similar to how the browser renders the page when you click back button.

This will also increase the number of hits on your server for the same traffic so make sure you're using a caching plugin.
