How to Hide your site from Copyscape?

Can this be done? I thought copyscape uses google search and google cache to do the job?

I'm just giving a method to prevent copyscape to go to his site... if they are using cache & search, the only ways are:
- either uniquifying content
- or markov chains + cloaking on G (more dangerous but much more exciting :D )

Thats not the only ways BlackMelvyn-- just say the one ways you are aware of~

I know how to hide from all the search engines, try robots.txt

But I think carsonrathi wants to hide from copyscape only, not all robots

I wonder what will really happen if the originator found out? Change 5% and it already unique. Like logo and few wordings.

Only once I received a bitch's email scolding me like hell for copying 95% of her contents. I just ignore her. Other than that, nothing happen.
I think we may have pissed off the same bitch my friend.

Yeah I think I did too haha. Just ignored her too - but I have received a few DMCA's... Just delete that specific article and you're good to go.

even if you block all ip that are used by copyscape, do not assume that they are not also hitting up google and search for phrases that are protected or claimed by copyright

Copyscape ips to copy in your htaccess file :

Code:
deny from 212.100.254.105
deny from 212.100.239.219

This will work immediatly, just try it on your website, copyscape don't use cache, google... Copyscape bot visit your site first to see if you allow copyscape or not.

This is from copyscape terms of service

Use of the Services is subject to Google's SOAP Search API terms, currently available at the web page http://hxxp://c0de.g00gle.com/apis/s0apsearch/api_terms.html. Indigo Stream is not affiliated with Google in any way.

so they are basically scraping google looking for duplicates of content
if you get a ranking and its copyscape searched its going to be found.

:(

Sorry, I was not clear, I agree with you (it use cache and gogole api), that's why I said "copyscape visits your site first" ...

You can see your site in results for copied websites, but if you click on the url of the result (where you put the "deny from ip" in the htaccess) then you can't see the page with the highlighted copy parts of text.
Not sure I am more understandable now

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your suggesstions:-

@BlackMelvyn, i tried finding the slution ins cloaking section bt really didn't get any.

@litenup, I want to hide complete website (only 3 pages in it)

@aliskorn, no it's not a blog, it's a sales page

@seomanifest, my first concern is copyscape..

I still didn't get the solution, is there's any paid or free tool to do that...

Thanks,
Carson

Just three pages shouldn't be a problem ...

If it is just 3 pages use the trick that was posted here earlier. Use G translate to translate the copy from English to lets say German, then from German to lets say Spanish, then to somethin... travel the world :-) and finally back to English. Then just manually proofread the final stuff and it will be unique in the eyes of CS.

translating using google translator can make your words scramble. from a viewers view this seems unprofessional..

just my 2 cents

Use the htaccess and deny copyscapes IP.
Then use the NO-ARCHIVE meta tag and there will not be any google cache for your page.
And you will continue to rank as well.

But you need to add the No-Archive from beginning I think or you will have a big delay before the cache dissapeares.

Yes, the google translater is pretty poor in my opinion. I would stay away from that.

Dude, Copyscape uses google to find the content. Its no use evading copyscape if you are not doing any thing about google indexing your content.
