How to hide email address on wordpress?

Is there a way to hide my email address from my website using wordpress. Even though I have unticked author in the settings, in the url it still says /author/myemailaddress.

I used Edit author slug plugin and have changed it. Damn I thought wordpress would at least make your email address private by default and not for the whole world to see. The only reason I even knew was upon seeing the page on google analytics. Now I'm wondering if there are any other places where I have to worry about my email being shown.

there might be some plugin so something wrong with your wordpress.

Usually I use two authors, one for admin and one to publish so there I can put an email just for this.

Change your nickname in user settings.

Even if you change the nickname, your email address is still displayed in the author url (/author/myemailaddress). Only by installing the Edit Author Slug plugin was I able to change the ending of the url to something else.

Why not create a new user with a fake email address?
