hey I am going to be launching my first clickbank product soon. Just wondering what is the best way to hide the download page and could someone also tell me how to hide it from google? I am pretty sure I use robots.txt but just want to be sure. Thanks!

Best way is to use download guard. You have to buy it but its great.

im looking for a free option not going to buy anything right now. maybe once i start making some sales.

The way to do it is this:

Set up a second domain from which to deliver ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS

This way, nobody can brute force the delivery page by trying
domain.c0m/thanks/
domain.c0m/thanks-you/
domain.c0m/thanks.html
domain.c0m/thank-you.html
domain.c0m/thank-you.htm
domain.c0m/thankyou/
domain.c0m/thankyou.html
domain.c0m/thankyou.htm
domain.c0m/product.html
domain.c0m/product/
domain.c0m/productdelivery.html

...I could go on ...and many people WILL try.

Also, not a bad idea to actually set-up those pages with offers, because
many people WILL hit them. Also, put the CLICKBANK DISCLAIMER on them
because it will really frustrate those people who do that.

On the delivery domain:
The domain index.html is basically a list of all your ebook covers
linked to their own page on that domain which are DUPLICATES
of the original sales page, so you get more coverage.

Originally, it will be only ONE product, but you will find that you
start to do more and more as you begin to see results.

BTW ... change the download link ( eg. change the name
of the folder it is in ...its the easiest way ) on the delivery
domain every few weeks ... and DONT FORGET TO CHANGE
THE DELIVERY LINK IN YOUR CLICKBANK CONTROL PANEL!!!!

This is to ensure that your product does not get direct-linked for long
say ... on some forum where they might share product dowload links
...not that I would know of any such forums right of hand *cough*.

Best of luck. If you want help with your sales page and download page
PM me and I can point you to the ones I use, but, you need to tell me
your niche ...for two reasons ...

1 - If we are competitors, we will either join forces or fight each other
- best to share mailing lists, I think.
2 - If we are not, then you'll be sure my advice is sincere for sure.
3 - If we are not, then I might know of resources that I can't take advantage of.
