So i got a little mirror to put in my hallway. The mirror is 56x56cm, only weighs 3kg. It has 2 hooks, one on each side.

I wanna put it on the wall. The wall is... well, its a wall. There's red bricks inside and theyre painted over :D

So, my first idea is to get hooks that have that glue-like tape on them. Stick on the wall, hang the mirror. But then the mirror wont be perfectly close to the wall, plus the hooks may be a bit visible from the side.

My second idea is to get tape that is sticky on both sides. Stick on mirror, stick mirror on wall, have a nice day. And this is pretty sweet, but then id have to unscrew the hooks from the mirror, and i dont feel like it :D

I mean the mirror came with hooks, so lets use the things...

Okay my next idea is quite advanced and brutish. Buy 2 long nails and a hammer. Hammer the nails in the wall, hang the mirror.

And then if i dont hammer the nails correctly or something gets fucked up, go back to the plan with the tape thats sticky on both sides.

What say you guys? :D

Hire a VA to hold it :D

This should’ve been your first idea lol. And what’s advanced and brutish about a hammer and a pair of nails?

Want me i can come to your house and display the brutishness on your head. In fact we can do all 3 methods.

Method 1: i stick
Methos 2: i stick
Method 3: i bang a nail into your head

:o :D

Haha but yeah i think thats best

Impressive.

You should hire a civil engineer graduated through online distance learning mood. Otherwise it will be impossible to hang the mirror..

I think one is not enough. I feel this requires a team of experts, working around the clock.

Maybe Elon Dust can help. I give him a call.

Gluing a big mirror to the wall = Waking up someday to a heart attack!

Glue is imminent to fail over time!! Nail it bruhh

I have some good news, and I have some bad news...

So I decided to go with the screws. I took a little box where I put any screw that ever falls in my lap, and I happened to find 2 screws that are the same, and sharp. Great I figure. Then I take what I always use as a hammer, which is a screwdriver with a fat handle. The handle is made of some gum, but it always did the trick. At this point I wanted to get out and buy a proper hammer, but I figured fuck it, it seems like I may be able to pull this off without leaving the house. That's always good.

So I took measures and everything, and I hammered one nail into the wall. The paint around the area where I nailed came off. That always sucks. Stupid primitive nails. But at least I got it nailed and stable. Then I started nailing the other side, and that was not going well, the nail kept coming out. Then I got out and went and bought a hammer, and I also bought double sticky tape thing, just in case. I figure I'll use the hammer to bang the nails in well, and that will do the trick. And if it fails I'll use the sticky tape as Plan B.

So I came home, started nailing the second nail in, and the nail would not go in, and then it sort of got bent. Shit. So I took some other (thinner) nails I have and tried, and they all got bent. Shit...

So I unscrewed the hooks from the mirror. Took the double tape that I purchased and used the Entire fucking thing. All around the mirror plus 2 stripes up and down in the middle. All the back of the mirror is full of tape. And then I stuck the fucker on the wall. Great. My luck I stuck it straight, I think. Maybe I should've gone a bit lower and a bit more to the right, but hey, can't always get what you want out of this life know what I'm sayin :D

According to the box of the sticky tape it holds up to 900grams, or 21 lb. And it says "HEAVY DUTY" on the pack. Motherfucker you ain't heavy duty if you only support 900grams. Pfff, there's no truth in advertising anymore. But I figure, I used the entire thing, so maybe it holds :D

At this point I'm content with what I did, but there's 2 fucking holes in the wall, and they're right on both sides of the mirror (left and right) right behind it. And if you look on either side of the mirror you see like a little paint missing/hole in the wall. Fuck I'll hate seeing that daily. But then I remembered that I bought some little round stickers to cover nails on some drawers I got recently. I happened to have 3 stickers left. Took em out, really carefully put them over the holes on the sides of the mirror, like behind the mirror. Used a little screwdriver to stick the stickers well. And the result is pretty good, we're looking good.

So there you go :D

Try using dowels and screws.
1. drill hole in right size for dowel into the bricks
2. insert dowel
3. insert right size screw
$. profit

Bro, I didn't go to screw college. I don't know what a dowel is. I don't have a drill to drill nothing. Impossibru :D

Good Idea.

You can also hire me. I am graduated from a good university in IT field, without attending a class. Also I provided that type of certificate to many.

And also I forgot to state, there are many very highly qualified professionals on youtube, where they guide people in the most hardest works, like how to wear slipper, how to wear pants etc etc. They will be verry happy to help you...

Oh, I see. :D Also I messed up a little, it's called a "rawlplug" and helps to keep stuff on the wall.

If you don't have any other option, try using the hammer and nails in between the bricks and not directly on the bricks. But the right way would be to use rawlplugs and screws :D

Also there is something called "installation glue", you could try to use something like that and keep up the mirror with duck tape until the installation glue has dried. :)

There is a product that is designed specifically to do what you are doing.

- Stick the 2 pcs of velcro together.
- Peel the tape on the side that is going to be on the mirror
- Push on to mirror
- Use level and create lines/marks on the wall so you know where to attach the mirror
- Peel tape on wall side
- Align with markings on wall or rest level on top of mirror
- Stick to wall, put pressure on where the tape is

- Can be removed at a later date without marking the wall.

EDIT: if you are worried about weight, add multiple pieces of tape.

Let's hope not. If it falls, um, I'll paint over the wall and then put the hooks back on the mirror, get a screw in the wall, do it right.

But for now we're set... and forget! :p

No that's a trick. Youtube and stuff is hard to help, you really have to dig and dig to get the simple stuff.

Okay here's an example. Go on Youtube and search for, say, how to boil an egg EASY. You're not gonna get a tutorial like put egg in boiling water, wait 3 minutes, done.

They all wanna do the fancy this and fancy that and have the egg make babies and draw the puppy eyes on it and put the spices in the holes that you drilled with the fancy drilling thing and fuck ooooooff!!!

And it's the same for everything. Hard to find help if you want the EASY method, the simplest one. For the simple stuff you gotta dig and dig :p

Never heard of a rawlplug.

Bro I'm not superman or nothing, I can't see through the wall to know where in between the bricks is. You crazy? o_O :suspicious: :D

It's fixed now. The sticky double tape did the trick. Mirror still standing! :)

Next thing you see on Fiverr: "I will hang a mirror for you cheap and fast."

I promise you it would sell :D

Put the mirror in the closet, you already know you´re handsome .. No need for a mirror .. =)

Awwwww you sweet talker you :p
