How to handle a Scam/Fake Shopping site?

So I was kind of ripped off recently and found out it was from an online shopping website that sells fake goods (from a well known brand) and I am not alone I should of did a little research but my girlfriend was adamant on buying this.. So anyway the past month seen a handful of reports on this site of being sent fake & used goods then they dont give a refund (despite it being on their policy page).

First of all I can screw them over good If i wanted, I.E. post an accurate report on how they do business on ripoffreport and SEO that page so it comes up in first page of Google when someone types in that site name... But the legality from the hosting standpoint should I contact their hosting to report them?

The funny thing is the real brand is hosted on the same hosting as this website which is selling fake stuff and ripping people off. Anyway let me know your thoughts on how to shut down this scammer.

I just cant believe how a site like this can stay online, it would be like me selling Nike Shoes online and sending $5 fakes to the buyers.

Are you sure its fake ? Just contact original brand and report it and they will take care of it. If you are from USA i think you can report it to legal authority about fake branded goods you just need to search which legal body handle this stuff.

Yes almost 100% sure its fake, since we received the goods. There are even videos on youtube showing you how to compare the real versus fake ones and we found at least 5 things that spot that its fake. They are just using some company in China (even shipping labels were in Chinese) to make the products cheaply then selling them as real. They claim the site owner is in the states but I know how to dig around and found out its a Pakistani person... So the law will probably not be much help.

I actually already told the Real brand about the website and they emailed me back but that was over a week ago, not sure if they will even do anything. I am mostly angry at Shopify because how they handle things it seems like they just look the other way because they earn money on the transactions since they are the host + payment processor.

report it to the real brand if its an american brand the feds will go after it. happened at sema this year when the feds cam in to close down a chinese seller. they are deadset on cracking down on them and in europe too i believe last month a bunch of Chinese ripoff sites got taken down.

Okay cool well thats good to know, hopefully it will be down soon then as I told the real brand about this they actually have been in the news about this stuff lately with all the fakes out there.
